Q. What is the vetting process?

A. Initial vetting includes a review of the white paper and roadmap for feasibility and real use cases. Once your ICO passes initial vetting, we finalize everything with a Skype call (or similar video-conferencing technology) where at least one team member shows us a photo ID from his or her respective jurisdiction.

Q. What prior business experience does your team possess?

A. Our co-founder and CEO, Leon Lim, entered the world of blockchain with a string of successes behind him.

In 2013, Lim co-founded and was made the chairman of Puffin Venture Builder, a company which builds, invests, and acquires Southeast Asia internet portals. As of 2017, Puffin Builder’s portfolio includes six companies with a combined value of over USD 10,000,000.

Under Puffin, Lim launched Southeast Asia’s 1st On-demand local staffing platform, Freelancezone.com.sg. In 2016, Lim launched Aitomon, an artificial intelligence firm which continues to serve large financial companies and municipal services throughout southeast Asia.

In 2017, Leon Lim and his co-founders Alex Wong and Treff Lim (no relation) launched Mining Rig Club. Within a year, Mining Rig Club became the number one provider of cryptocurrency mining rigs for retailers across the region. MRC’s engineers designed proprietary “auto-restart” software to increase uptime. As of 2018, their total revenue exceeds USD 3,000,000.

A. Block Tree Club was founded to make the entire blockchain ecosystem more accessible. That includes providing educational material to prevent new users from being disenchanted by small-time scammers. As Block Tree Club grows, we will continue to add services as long as they complement our mission to bring credibility and widespread adoption to blockchain technology.

Q. Isn’t your mission statement/attitude too idealistic for a competitive business?

A. We are under no delusions. We cannot help anyone if our firm does not survive and grow in a hostile, mostly unregulated environment. But scammers and profit-seeking speculators cannot be allowed to dominate the public narrative about blockchain and cryptocurrency. The blockchain revolution’s success is not inevitable. Mass adoption cannot occur without mass acceptance.
