Hello guys,
I'm going to buy AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X for rendering and Im just wondering if it will be worth to mine monero on this CPU in these days.
And if yes, what do you think about 1950x + Vega 64. Mine monero on cpu+gpu.

You should move this question to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0, someone there should be able to answer.

Vega will mine you 2.1KH/s @ 180W
Threadripper will mine at maybe 1.2KH/s @ probably 200W consumption

Is it profitable? If you already paid for the machine and have it in your hands, then yes. If you will buy the machine just for mining, probably no

Thanks for answer.
And as I said it for rendering so it's not my cost. I have rx580 somewhere in my mess, but I will buy Vega 64 if worth because I will use it to 3d work too.
Could you please tell me which Vega will be the best one? Or it doesn't matter with one I will choose?

I think Vega is much better for Monero mining.

Mining with almost anything can be profitable when electricity cost's nothing or is free of charge. But profitable can mean like 0.5usd a day or something like this.

You probably would get max around 1usd a day when mining with your TR1950x some Cryptonight coins.

I won't pay for hardware but for sure I will pay energy costs.
And for 1950x + x1 vega 64 it should be 0,5-0,7USD, so still profit. Am I right?
And is there any difference in Vega 64 models for mining?

If you're going to spring for a Vega 64, check out the Vega frontier edition first. It's a much better card for mining with 16GB of memory and the price isn't much higher than the 64 now.

Mhm, it won't be easy to find brand new frontier edition. I saw only one offer for 599$ so its same price as for Vega 64 version.
Hashrate will be visible higher on frontier edition?
