Motherboard / GPU issue

I am a new ethereum miner trying to finally get my first mining rig up and running. Currently, I have an MSI Z270-A pro motherboard with Radeon RX580 Gaming 8GB GPUs. I cannot get the motherboard to detect a GPU even when I connect it directly to the motherboard. The latest motherboard version is from Jan/1/2018. Does anyone know of what ways I can troubleshoot this problem? I tried connecting two different GPUs to the motherboard and neither was recognized. I'm also unable to connect my monitor to my GPU to check it directly since I don't have a DVI-D. Any help is appreciated.

2) If you want to mine  make sure you have all cables you need.

4) two psus are nice

hard to trouble shoot with out extra stuff.

I think better to give us more information about your GPU like the above said, post a screenshot of device manager so that we can see if your video card is detected or not or maybe there is a caution mark in any driver.
If ever there is caution mark from drivers from device manager you must reinstall the right driver for your card and use DDU Display Driver Uninstaller before you install a new driver.
And I hope you can post your PSU unit model here so that we know if your PSU is fine for your card.

okey. so you've put everything together? RAM, CPU and your hard drive, but the system is not recognising the GPU ? are you trying with 1 or multiple GPUS ?
can you get a signal if you use the HDMI/DVI output on the motherboard ?

Have you this problem on only RX580 cards? Have you tried to install Nvidia's video cards? What about to install old BIOS version? But if you aren't able to connect your monitor to your GPU, then I don't know, maybe a power problem?

Do you have in BIOS setup for using igpu? get yourself a hdmi, or mybe CMOS/bios reset could help.

On that motherboard, you'll have to go into the bios settings and disable the onboard graphics to enable the pcie slots. Yes it sucks not being able to use the onboard graphics especially with a gpu mining rig. I don't know if it's a design flaw or a batch of bad boards but I had the same issue with the same board.

If you are planning to use SMOS , you can ssh into the rig without connecting a monitor or you can view the rig in real time on their website/your rig list page . You only need to connect a monitor for the initial setup of your system, afterwards you won't need it to be connected to your GPU. Chris B.

"made for mining" it's just a motherboard, and honestly ASUS Minin Expert has a history of being anything but a mining board.

Well, I dunno! OP: check everythign is actually connected, then time to play with the bios. Start with one card on risers, and triple check your manual for counterintuitive slot configs.

TBH I've spent hours struggling with various gaming boards, and given the cheapness of mining boards at the moment I'd definitely just get a dedicated one. They're cheaper than gaming boards, and you'll get the slots working easier...

Speaking of adding nothing to the solution.  Maybe you just arent bright enough to run a mining expert m/b!  Ive got 3 mining rigs each one has a ASUS Mining expert and they all run like champs and are very easy to use.  So you explain to me genius how a 19 pcie slot m/b is ANYTHING but a mining m/b.  I bet you make tons of money! NOT!
