Would an Asicminer that mines at 2Gh/s running on a Rasberry PI be enough to make a decent amount? I'm quite new to this.

At current difficulty 0.00801335BTC or something like 5.3$ per month.
Difficulty will rise in about 1-1.5 week and then it will drop to 5$/month.

You're not going to really make any money mining with 2Gh/s.  If you want to make more than $250 a day, you need about 3,000 Gh/s.  2Gh/s is going to give you about 10 to 15 cents a day.

2 gh/s is nothing to mine. But every amount is insufficient in itself. To mine with continues profit needed to increase always the amount of gh/s in work...

It is profitable, you just have to invest more money now than you did a couple of years ago as an entry point.  What is interesting now, is that the bitcoin ASIC hardware developers have realized that they are now in competition with each other, so the prices are starting to come down per Gh.

"profitable" is a difficult question to answer without all the other variables (cost of miner ect) but GordonBM shared some decent resources for you to begin your own calculations.

I had to laugh at myself because my first reaction reading this was "NO" but that's how I've felt about every machine I've ever owned (cars/computers)....mining for me is that mindset on steroids ;-).
It may be a good place to start and build from....wishing you "much luck"

 I haven't personally but you can observe for yourself in the thread (he's out of stock at the moment)
USB sticks are easy to setup for a first go at mining and then easy to expand if you find that you enjoy the process.... you will find many threads on this forum that will be helpful.

Bitminter has an easy GUI to try out.

I sold miners because they were no longer profitable but I have the mining bug ... so more hardware is on its way to me....maybe I'll luck out and break even.

as for me I think 2Gh/s is quite enough for mining for now (2-3 months ) but if you are looking in future it's not quite good

Depends on when the difficulty changes, currently I've got one rig with 3 Ants and 4 Block erupters that can at times get me 0.001 per 24 Hours ( estimate 0.01 payout every 11-15 days currently ) so more hashing power, more money.  As I've bought 2 of the ants with what I earned in pools ( and a ton of ' dust ' from free BTC sites ) profit is relative.  If you are looking to get 1 BTC in a year or less, you really need around the max a Pi can handle ( 120 miners and related powered hubs ).
