I keep the Op up to date pretty regular. Right now the ones to watch are Bitmain, Innosilicon, and MicroBT (Whatsminer). Some have good hardware available now some have a miner being speculated about, most have links to the info.

If you can't find something let me know.

Innosilicon has been given top spot in efficiency. They are noted as having several batches. The real world tests didn't match their specs 100%, but it is a minute sample size and all numbers quoted are Manufacturer advertised numbers.

I am also considering removing some of the listed Hardware:

Halong - If I'm not mistaken this company is no longer operating or producing Hardware.
Bitfury - I'm on the fence without knowing if the Tardis ever shipped out to anyone. If not there last miner is well outside competitive.

As always I'm open to input.

Halong seems to be gone.

Bitfury  is very hard to buy their gear.

I am not sure what will happen with Avalon  since the A921 was a real bomb.
I like working with them I hope they make an A941  that works well.

Well at the end of the month I believe I will remove Halong all together, as they are out of business. The others I will keep on until maybe the end of next month. With all this gear between .048 and .065 J/GH , there are really only going to be 3 proven distributors of Competitive Hardware.  Bitmain, Innosilicon, and MicroBT.

I believe I will move companies like Bitfily, Bitfury, Canaan, and Ebang to the bottom of the post under a horizontal line. Naming them as previously competitive hardware just to show the most recent changes. I believe most of the companies to still be in business. Bitfily hasn't updated their site in a long time so I'm not sure of their status at the moment.

In 'reality' in the USA...most of it anyway...will go back to 'Summer Electric Rates) or from what I can tell in most places...that is a 33% increase in electric costs for I think it is 5 months.

Thus sometime around May 15th when this flips.....we probably (or any crypto) needs a 33% price pump or it is gonna get beyond ugly out there.

just pointing this out...you could have "no equipment" on your list that 'makes sense to buy anyway...and this is not talking about the 27.6% fees with tariff and import fees.

sheesh, what a 'rekt' cluster****.

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Bitfily hasn't updated their site in a long time so I'm not sure of their status at the moment.

They are still operating, I am in the middle of a warranty with them which I will post on the B1+ review.

Just go here:

https://www.bitfily.io/

Not sure what they say but efficiency is like 105 Watts per TH, I will update my review of it if I can find it Wink

Ok. That's less power efficient than a lp firmware a841 or s9.  Undecided

yeah..this is how this stuff rolls these days I guess..I can find no 'angle' of any kind, (even w/o the shipping and tariff/import fees of 27.6% that are on now)

discouraging

Be warned that eBit's eBang miners have a horrible reputation for breaking along with horrible customer support. Scan this section and the Support section for the threads discussing them.

Just a reminder this isn't meant to be a general discussion/speculation thread to compare all gear or seek advice.

Please move further discussion to a new topic in mining speculation or either miners respective discussion thread.

They are still operating, I am in the middle of a warranty with them which I will post on the B1+ review.

Thanks for letting me know bitfily is still operating, they are still however falling behind like many companies at the moment; with nothing new announced.

Edit: March 29 - Added A10 discussion thread for Canaan

So some big changes. Bitmain has reclaimed the top spot in efficiency, with the S17. I used their normal numbers for the S17 Pro as advertised.

Halong has been removed from the main list and moved to the bottom as they areno longer operational. Bitfily, Bitfury and Ebang are now in a previously competitive category until they release new hardware.

That would be the stock as advertised specs I believe. I did notice some chat about the firmware. I'll read up on it tonight and figure out how to work it in. Most likely it will be an * about the FW and it's efficiency gains. Good catch.

The Gekkoscience pods and sticks are designed for hobby/home use.

Also, AvalonMiners can be configured for a low power use, the 8 series with the lp firmware is a great combination.

I have a A841 mining at 8Ths hash rate with about a 700W power consumption.
