I thought it would be a little entertaining to make a thread about slang terms or lingo, whatever you want to call it, thrown around in crypto, such as hodl. I'm just going to put a list of things that I have seen so far and will add any suggested especially since I don't think I have become too familiar with that many of them so far or maybe they're aren't that many. And I'm perfectly fine with adding anything at all no matter how loosely it fits with this idea because I just want to try to capture some of the culture that has popped up around crypto, because it's just kind of funny I think.

Also if this is already done elsewhere then I guess this can just be locked or whatever the mods feel is appropriate. I'm new so I'm not that familiar with the forum yet. (And I hope this is where this topic should be locked also mods; sorry if it's in the wrong spot!).

Lastly feel free to tell me anything you think should be changed, added, or removed from what the terms mean. I'm mostly just trying to make a list of them not so much define them in some certain way so I have no problem changing what I put since I won't even be trying much with that part of my contributions anyway lol.

Here's some to get this started:

HODL: Hold on for dear life

Moon: Something going way way way up in value rapidly

Lambo: Lamborghini the ultimate goal and purpose for crypto existing

FUD: Fear uncertainty and doubt

Sh**tcoin: A coin that is really bad or a scam (I'm guessing profanity is not allowed on here right?)

Bitcoin Jesus: Roger Ver's nickname

Satoshis: Unit of Bitcoin

Crypto: Cryptocurrency

Weak hands: People who sell at a loss easily out of being nervous or afraid

Strong hands: People who HODL
