Recently I saw a post on twitter abount an ongoing Ico. It said that the transaction capability per second is 100 million times. Is this possible? As for now what is the highest transaction rate per second? And what coin/token it is?

Right now it's not possible, or it's not been done, in the future almost anything is possible. As of yet the closest is only in the thousands, there are multiple who are in beta or alpha stage who claim to reach higher values but until their mainnets are released and multiple can use it then I won't trust it. XRP actually has the highest TPS I believe but their system is weird and not truly decentralized. |

It will be useless, imagine if that was a possible thing and if you have no demand and then what will you do? your platform becomes the next crap platform. The important thing is how useful your product to the community and it's not about to create such a platform with high scalability. We have DAG system with instant transction and zero fees. |

Wont elaborate because most projects do have nearly gaps when it comes to have TPS but same as said above no matter how fast a certain project do claim when it comes to transactions processes if it wont really gain any support then expect this would still end up on failing unless if theres a consideration of the community then its plausible. |

Who knows. Why Ethereum didnt develop something which will cause the scalabillity? Maybe because it is not as easy as you think and also I think that it is very dangerous to have such TPS (hackers). |

With powerful enough server and a coin that is not decentralized, why not? If they claim, instead, they are also decentralized, I tend to not believe them... About the "what coin" question, I've found a table in this article, I am also posting the table. It's a start...  |

Everything is possible now given that the competition on innovation is getting tight. But there are ongoing ICOs claiming that they can do impossible things like that to gather investors for there ICO. You can believe this type of project if there are test net ongoing on there platform. You can try if the 100m TPS is true. But if there are no test net, its better to wait for them to show there test net to prove their project.

No its not true. As i know highest TPS for today are 1 millon. Sparkster said that thay did it in test net...we will see...

I think this is possible, and now there is no need in such speed. Most blockchain don't have users to use such speed. Waiting ETH updates that will raise its speed and will kill most of the high speed blockchain ICOs)

I have seen so many projects making claim to this high transaction speed, I think what we are seen is that there is huge gap in difference between theoretical claim and practical claims. There are so many solutions to Ethereum solutions but none has really come out to be huge success. In future we are likely to see this in practice

I don't think that number is reachable right now but also to see chains make that claim to hype people is funny. We need real-world applications more than higher tps. |

It wouldn't be pointless, if it reaches that level of transactions there would be many real world applications that would look to utilize it. Think about mastercard and visa that only reach around 40k tps, if 100m happened it would make payments so much more efficient that there would have to be a transition away from the currently outdated and expensive option. |
