It is suspicious to me that the reward for the task is 310 bitcoins, which is about 2 million dollars. There is no difference, this person is an early miner or someone else. Now it is 2 million dollars and it is too much to be true.

That is one point to it because if something starts sounding too good to be truth, then you start looking at it with some depth.

*May* is conditional. This means even if the puzzle is solved, other conditions could come up going by that phrase....

I quickly looked to this contest and I'm really curious of what could be the real reason behind it because even for a wahle it is very unlikely to give a so high amount. The theory of a thief that used it to clean the thief seems interesting. Especially I'm really surprise of the speed of the finding of the solution.

I don't think that anybody would offer for real 2 million dollars for solving puzzles on the internet. What you guys have expected, really?
However, if anybody DOES get the private key for that address, there are still some 72$ (0.01154184 BTC) there.

I checked his BTC address and it has total balance 0.11, however on the to of website it says 310 BTC reward.
I doubt he has made this puzzle page for fun and time pass, puzzle is too hard to solve, may be someome can solve amd verify if he is paying really

It got solved by 3 guys and they split the amount between themselves (can be seen in the txn link posted by NeuroticFish above). There was a dedicated community of people trying to solve it in the Neon District Discord. They announced the puzzle getting solved and being split by 3 people. So there's only BTC dust left in the wallet now.

I have seen the picture and it is really hard to figure it out. It kinda looks like a church saint in the picture. But it is worth figuring out.
