For me the capability of creating new coin can make big income and big loss there is a certain period of time that this idea will fail, as for Investing in some ICO compare to other side you have a freedom to choose, we all heard, don't put all your eggs in one basket but what if *if* half of the dozen egg broke and the other four was on fatal condition and the last two was successful and these two coin made you around 10m usd and your capital was 11m usd all of effort and time come to waste you see it's really hard to choose between two, how bout you share your opinions and express yourselves into this topic.

If your essence of wanting to start an ICO is because of money you want to make from it and not because you at least want to create some opportunity in the space to bring something on board and to create some products that will be useful to the world, then you have failed.

It is either you have a product you want to pitch to the investors and be a proud owner of a project yourself, or you just simply invest in ICOs if you are looking to get in as an investor and make some good profits in the long run. However, one thing I am certain of is that, whichever choice you want to make, you definitely need to have the knowledge and something to bring to the table.

I've never created new coins so I can't compare both, but based on what I noticed, making a new coin is very complicated, not just anyone can do it and marketing it is also very complicated, so I prefer to just invest in ICO because I'm lazy with complicated things like created a new coins.

I think this comparison is just so far off each other to actually compare. Creating a new coin, as a developer, is something that is not easy to do since you have to prepare for a lot of aspects, and also, you have to legally register your coin and set off a good product to support it, especially nowadays when its so hard to actually put up a coin unlike before. On the one hand, investing in ICO is fairly easy compared to making your own coin. Don't get me wrong; it's not easy, but in comparing the two, investing in ICO is easier. The biggest consideration you should considering with investing is choosing which project to commit to.

If someone gave me a lot of money and I have to pick one of the two I would go for ICOs. Starting your own coin requires a lot of work,money and if it fails there's no going back. ICOs have a downside too it's not that easy to determine which one would give you profit but the amount of effort you put in to investing is less compared to having your own coin.

Investing in a ICO is good and requires just a reasonable amount but creating a new coin is not easy and it does require more knowledge and more stuffs besides money. If you are skilled enough and have a team who has experience in creating a coin, then yes you can do so. A big capital and technical experience is damnly required. Nothing else. Just spend time analysing the market growth and pitch in when you ate done with your new coin.

Creating a new coin is more complicated. You need to have a good and knowledgeable team with you. And you need to have resources so you can support all the needs in creating your coin. So for me investing in an ICO is better. But we need to take a good look on the ICO that we are investing in. So we won't be a victim of scam ICO's.

You better invest in coins that have been circulating in the trade market than you make new coins or invest in ICOs. currently the number of digital currencies is very large and many of these coins which do not have good credibility so they cannot last long in the trade market. and currently there are many ICOs that have failed because of the poor quality of their products. so, you better choose a coin that has been able to survive in the trade market and has good quality.

It seems to me that, you need to think it either you invest or creating a new coins. But personally, If I will choose between investing or creating a new coins I would rather to invest. why? because it is not easy to create a new coins because there has a possibilty that it did not work and many of your hardwork will ne useless rather that investing that you will only spend a money that you can afford to lose.

Invest in ICOs? Same here, why would you invest in an ICO knowing that most are either scam, dead born, no innovation behind. There are too many existing coins

I prefer to invest in an ICO than creating a new coin because this is the easiest way to earn huge profit when you're lucky enough.Creating a project is never that easy,developers need to be very knowledgeable inorder to earn trust from its investors and could create huge adoption.Cryptocurrency needs it and creating also a coin has high probability of speculations if its gonna work out or fail.

Creating a coin is really hard because you need a team and smart team. You need also develop you unique and good project so the investor will invest to the coin that you created. Investing in ICO is good but choose only a good project that yout money will grow and not gone.

If you have enough money and experience, then starting your own business by creating a new coin will be more profitable.
But, keep un mind that creating the coin is not the most important thing (I think it would be the easiest part).
Investing in ICOs is less profitable (in 99% of cases) but does not require any effort.

But you need to be smart enough then probably you might as well do the two. Invest then start a new one. Real businessman used different ways to gain profit. And with this it is both profitable so do the same if you really wanted to gain profit. But then you need to have enough knowledge.

To create a new coin - with the current high level of development of existing coins, someone will need really large resources and a group of very good specialists to even try.. There are a lot of good coins on the market, so the competition is huge - it's hard to imagine how hard it would be to fight with them on the market!
ICO gives the opportunity to promote a new idea that does not necessarily have to be related to the cryptocurrency market. That's all you need is a good idea, willingness and the ability to convince investors to trust you.
If you don't think about tens of millions $$$, but only about realizing your dream, but a good and perspective project - I definitely recommend ICO.

If you have much knowledge and has big financial assets then you can create coins of yours but both of them required great risked to begin with because even ICO don't give guarantee that it really succeed in the market and gain investors to it. Maybe i would suggest to invest on tokens or projects that already on the market that have a good feedback and well participated from the crypto community. With that it surely guarantee your gain from you investments.

In my personal opinion probably much better to invest in any ICO investment site even some projects are not trustworthy.  rather than investing your money by creating new coin on this very volatile market, because it's not safe and very difficult honestly. common reason why there are more shitcoin nowadays .so don't waste your money and efforts on that idea  mate especially if you don't have knowledge how it works. which is much better to choose the best and sure way to become profitable.
