SINEGY began its journey in June 2017 as a trading company, arbitraging various cryptocurrencies and market making on the major P2P trading platforms in the South East Asian region.
Through successful trading, SINEGY bootstrapped its business, leveraging just RM1.25m seed capital, to build a working prototype of its own FIAT-to-Crypto exchange - Marketplace -developed entirely in house, without taking a single cent of outside investment or raising capital via an ICO.
SINEGY's Marketplace went into live beta testing in late August, and is now open to professional day traders and market makers as the mission to build liquidity in its order books begins in earnest.
Note to traders: In order to foster real liquidity on the platform, Marketplace operates a maker/taker fee model. Traders that post limit orders on any Marketplace order book, upon execution will receive a rebate of 0.25% of the trade size! Get paid for providing liquidity.
Note to Arbitrageurs: As of writing, Bitcoin is trading lower in Malaysia compared to the foreign markets, enabling arbitrageurs to profit by purchasing on Marketplace and selling on external exchanges such as Bitstamp.
SINEGY accepts domestic Malaysian as well as international customers, who have passed through the company's compliance procedures and had their accounts verified on the system. On doing so, customers can then fund their accounts with Malaysian Ringgit in order to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple.
Other prominent Cryptocurrency/token projects, which have real demand from SINEGY's Malaysian customer base (E.g. STEEM), will eventually be listed on the platform as soon as the company's small development team can process the requests.
With a functioning prototype exchange, and a six month track record trading the Malaysia OTC market, SINEGY has reached the limits of its current scale. In order to reach the next level, SINEGY needs to invest significantly into marketing and talent acquisition. Therefore SINEGY has just launched its first token sale.
The very first new token listing on the platform will occur on the 1st of November 2018. MKTP token will go live on the platform in Malaysia's first Initial Exchange Offering (IEO).
MKTP follows a similar model to the popular exchange tokens out there (e.g. BNB).
Upon listing, it will be paired with all assets listed on the platform (e.g. BTC/MKTP); customers purchasing crypto with MKTP will benefit from the cheapest trading fees in the region (Taker 0.003%!).
