I'm not to optimistic of 'large institutional investment' been thrust into bitcoin.
But popularity and increased adoption would surely have a positive effect on the price.
And more governments and sectors are identifying the potential in the blockchain technology and digital assets.
2019 could well be a good year, 2018 has not been bad so far, we have seen increased price stability and a higher support than previous years.
But we all want a big bull and lots of FOMO, hopefully that comes soon.

It most likely, bitcoin increase its value in the end of the year and the start of new year. But many will always consider the investors at that time. I am not sure why this time of the year is the most active, maybe because most of the people have their pay double and some institutions is doubling their profit. I really doubt that central banks are researching because they wanted to take advantage of electronic money. What they're interested at is the technology behind it, which is blockchain. They hated crypto because its a threat to their existing financial system.

The future looks bright. Eventhough we have seen a lot of negativity and countries becoming hostile to crypto, there will be nations who will support it because of its potential. We have seen countries enacting laws to support crypto/blockchain/ICO's. So its just a matter of time, maybe 2-5 years its full potential will be realized.

No, they aren't even concerned on the welfare of cryptocurrencies as long as they can push their agenda and use the blockchain technology for their own services. Nothing special here, just a typical banker's move if you ask me.

2019 is just around the corner and its an open secret there are currently some behind the scene researches going on in the utilization of blockchain and its applicability to the current financial system where they can co-exist. However, I would not express much optimism because while four months from now is 2019, so also is the next fourteen months from now and when there is no timeline to an objective, its best to say it will remain un-achievable and that is exactly this open-ended wave that is expected to happen in the new year.

Electronic moneys would be more popular in the coming year but that does not metamorphose into boost for bitcoin because there are several methods that is presently in place which would be improved upon in the drive towards a cashless economy. For the institutional investors, its best not to bank on them because its during the time of increase in plans that there is leaking of news about their own plan to launch just to boost their popularity in the market after which, it goes back to development phase that won't see the light of the day until another increase in price.

The future looks bright. Eventhough we have seen a lot of negativity and countries becoming hostile to crypto, there will be nations who will support it because of its potential. Certainly, there is no doubt that what they are really looking at is the technology behind it which is the blockchain technology and how they can inculcate that into the fiat system in the long run.

Crypto however may be a threat to their existing system, but unfortunately for them, it is just something they will not have any other choice than to come around to accept eventually as we are beginning to see a lot of banks beginning to see how they can tap from the existing benefit that lurks obviously in the crypto space and we sure know it is anything for the profit when it comes to banks. I'm optimistic of the growth of cryptocurrencies in the years to come. Even when internet is just starting, many criticized it that it wouldn't make a difference to our lived but now, almost all our transactions need internet connection. I believe it would be the same in the future wherein we would need cryptocurrencies for our transactions not only as payment option but to use it in other things that have value by using smart contracts.

you are making a couple of common mistakes in your assumptions here.
- institutional investments is not equal to price rise. in some cases there may introduce even more manipulation and price drops.
- search results and the increase of it doesn't mean price rise is on the way. the only relationship between the two is that when price rises there is an increased interest in bitcoin so there is also an increased amount of search about it.
- banks looking into blockchain technology doesn't mean a price rise for bitcoin or other altcoins.
- and like always bitcoin price rise and its adoption does not bring altcoin price rise!

Since Bitcoin was $15000 at start of the year and will be under $10000 at end of the year. When 2019 start will be a lot of bad publicity because of catastrophic Bitcoin performance in 2018. Rare fresh people will look at Bitcoin. It will be time of darkness in Bitcoin land.

How about that change is not what you expect for mate, we did not know what's going to happened with the investments we had in the future. That's possible with other invested coins but being certain with our holding to soar for much higher and profitable price, still remains a stereotype idea. What I am expecting right now, is the growth of electronic money which could probably be struggling for more changes and in order to survive for that don't ever expect but rather prepare for the worst to happen generally.
