Merit for ranking is a great a idea to sanitize the forum

I am a newbie, I want to clearly state my opinion on meriting.
The idea of  merits for ranking is  not bad in my opinion, no one needs bullshit in his house. Some say it's being harsh on beginners but it's not, it's actually telling the new guys like me that this is a serious place so no garbage.
The forum needs value from everymember.
Newbies need to understand it and make worthwhile posts. You only get worth you deserve.

Your post is an excerpt of the repeatedly expressed ideas of other forum members. It was certainly not necessary to create a new topic. You won`t receive merits if you duplicate previously stated comments. Start to form your own point of view and try to benefit the community.

You're a 100% correct that this forum needs value input from every member.

Meta is for forum related problems, issues, etc...
Why don't we just create a new rule that spamming the Meta is a reason for permaban?
Well, if I think twice, we could just ban newbies with the new rule, who hunt for merit, but that won't help much because the farmers will just register a new account instead of the banned ones...
