The Icarus Project

Update: Current aspects to the project that are either being developed, or are in the planning stages, as we speak.

The Labyrinth project performance reporting/review platform will act as a preliminary stage to the Icarian Gateway. The Labyrinth will allow development staff to seamlessly update information on their project in an easily digestible and readily accessible manner which will simplify investment research for communities as a whole. As The Labyrinth is our primary use-case for our coin, no less than 25% of profits generated with it will be utilized to assist in community-based donation and funding of charitable needs on a global scale.

The Icarian Gateway - an overhead two-stage project incorporating both the Eagle Eye charity finder/donation hub application and the Daedalus' Wings charity and crisis-response blockchain project.



Stage 1. Eagle Eye will be the first stage to The Icarian Gateway. On this application, the community will be able to find vetted charities, either locally or world wide, that actually use the money they raise to help people. We will make it our mission to find trustworthy charities that don't take donation money and spend it on their own wants, or use the charity as their own personal bank.

Stage 2. The second stage we're going to be working on is called Daedalus' Wings. Daedalus' Wings will provide a unified method for at-will funding and asset-sharing throughout global disaster relief efforts and expedite assistance to organizations with boots on the ground who are associated with the blockchain: think the "blockchain for business" model where members on the chain can be given universal access to assets and reporting hosted on it, but for charities and persons of authority assisting with relief efforts.

NOTE: Eagle Eye may be launched ahead of The Labyrinth in an effort to raise awareness of charitable needs going into the coming holiday season. After all, people have priority here.

We are a team (2 at the moment) of people dedicated to making a change. We know, we know, you hear that all the time, but hear us out. What we want to do ultimately, is help people, and to elaborate further on this statement, we have a mini-road map of words, just for this PRE-ANN:

Short Term:

We would like to implement an application that does data analysis on coins that either submit to the platform, or coins that the community would like us to research. We want to help existing (and future) investors invest with confidence, both safely and wisely. We hope that these efforts help break the stigma around the crypto-space, and ultimately bring in newcomers, which would in turn help everyone in this space. The more people we can educate and put at ease, the more projects that could really make a difference, will get funded. We believe that all the projects that honestly want to do good and make a difference, should not be overshadowed by those who chose to take advantage of their investors and exit with their money. It's still in the prototype phase, but our ideas for the platform are way beyond that. The platform would not tell you what to invest in, but it would calculate and weigh the risks of investing in that particular project by analyzing social presence, verification of the developers, the idea behind the project, and much more.

TL;DR For Short Term:

-Build a community to educate existing and new investors on safe and wise investing to minimize the risk of investing in potential scams
-Build an application, more than likely web-based then stand-alone not far after, to analyze coins either submitted or chosen by the community
-Hopefully bring new people into the crypto community by breaking some of the stigma surrounding the crypto-space

Long Term:

After we have accomplished getting a lot more people comfortable in the crypto-space, we ultimately would like to expand way past individual basis. We would like to talk to charities and non-profits, in an attempt to intertwine the new, exisitng, and future programs with the blockchain. We believe that blockchain technology could help charities and non-profits help a lot more people at a faster rate, by speeding up how quick the funds get to those areas, and how large of a scale they can reach. We plan on soon applying to make our team an actual business in the physical world, because we feel as being a legitimate business would give us benefits we wouldn't have as a crypto-only project. We have talked about it extensively, and we have agreed that if we ever got to the point where this sustains us enough that we could quit our day jobs, and just help people from our community, and around the world; we would do it in a heartbeat.

-Reach out to new, existing, and future charities and non-profits to aid them in taking their work onto the blockchain
-This would allow faster financial aid, and help far more people
-Possibly become a legitimate business to broaden our horizons on both fronts

We are still in early stages of development, and are trying to raise the funds to hire an excellent blockchain developer who has already given us a look at the contract. At this point in time, our goal is to raise the money to bring him onto the team, as well as many, many other developments in this project. The platform would not tell you what to invest in, but it would calculate and weigh the risks of investing in that particular project by analyzing social presence, verification of the developers, the idea behind the project, and much more.

TL;DR For Short Term:

-Build a community to educate existing and new investors on safe and wise investing to minimize the risk of investing in potential scams
-Build an application, more than likely web-based then stand-alone not far after, to analyze coins either submitted or chosen by the community
-Hopefully bring new people into the crypto community by breaking some of the stigma surrounding the crypto-space

Long Term:

After we have accomplished getting a lot more people comfortable in the crypto-space, we ultimately would like to expand way past individual basis. We would like to talk to charities and non-profits, in an attempt to intertwine the new, exisitng, and future programs with the blockchain. We believe that blockchain technology could help charities and non-profits help a lot more people at a faster rate, by speeding up how quick the funds get to those areas, and how large of a scale they can reach. We plan on soon applying to make our team an actual business in the physical world, because we feel as being a legitimate business would give us benefits we wouldn't have as a crypto-only project. We have talked about it extensively, and we have agreed that if we ever got to the point where this sustains us enough that we could quit our day jobs, and just help people from our community, and around the world; we would do it in a heartbeat.

-Reach out to new, existing, and future charities and non-profits to aid them in taking their work onto the blockchain
-This would allow faster financial aid, and help far more people
-Possibly become a legitimate business to broaden our horizons on both fronts

We are still in early stages of development, and are trying to raise the funds to hire an excellent blockchain developer who has already given us a look at the contract. At this point in time, our goal is to raise the money to bring him onto the team, as well as many, many other developments in this project.
