I see now that bitcoin will going to be 10 years of its existence on January 2019. I should hope that there will be good things to happen in the celebration for bitcoin in reaching its first decade of existence.

Near future? Unlikely. For Bitcoin to affect our daily lives it would take decades in my opinion. Fiat and other established digital payment system aren't going anywhere or replaced by Bitcoin anytime soon. Bitcoin will gain more popularity and adoption in the coming years, but most people would only use it as an asset.

Bitcoin is being used for regular payment in a lot of shops, but not everywhere in the world. Perhaps one day we will be able use bitcoin to purchase the products of our daily need all over the world. But, when that time will come is yet to be seen.

Bitcoin is usually used as the share holder's currency for exchanging or for buying something expensive available in the net.
