Hello guys,

I've been studying technical analysis for over than 10 months right now. I know that it takes years to learn everything, but I feel like that having someone who can monitor your trades and tell you what's wrong or what's right would be much easier to catch up with everything.

How much do you think its important/good to have someone with who you can share your thoughts about the trading/market situation or who can tell you the "secrets" which you cannot see on youtube tutorials or any other books.

I think that mentoring by a more experienced trader helps a novice trader to develop in the right direction, minimize their risks and eliminates some of the mistakes that a beginner can make.

Having a mentor in trading is very important. I know that learning in trading will take a long time but having a mentor will shorten your time in learning. I will share a short analogy unto how long a trader will learn with and without mentor.

Having a mentor is like you going to a straight line. I'm not saying purely straight line but your journey in learning trading will take a shorter time with the help of the mentor.

Not having a mentor is like you are going into many roads that you don't know where to go and in the end, you get lost. If you will learn trading by yourself, it will take you a long time before you learn it.

Is it possible to acquire a mentor somewhere? Who can just answer to theoretical questions maybe? Beside paying thousands of dollars for that option

Agreed.  I'm not a trader, but I can say that I've had a few mentors in my life--not for anything to do with money, but just for life issues.  I would imagine having someone to bounce ideas off and to get useful advice from if you're a trader would be invaluable.

Here's the thing, though:  you have to pick your trading mentor very carefully, and I would only choose one after you're sure he/she knows what they're talking about, and I'd suggest picking one who has a successful track record of making successful trades.  Don't pick somebody just because you enjoy having a pint together.  You can always find a friend, but finding a mentor who's going to help you profit takes some time and analysis.

Having a mentor is not necessary, but can definitely be very helpful. Not only with trading, but with anything in general. Someone giving you good advice as a beginner is super beneficial if your mentor actually knows what he's/she's talking about.

The only thing is that it might not be easy to find a good and effective mentor, a mentor that's actually there for the purpose of helping you, and not leech off you or something. Especially knowing that you will most likely be looking for one online. I'd definitely prefer a person I know personally.

It's hard to trust those we didn't know, it might not help you that much, we can learn from them then try to do sometimes in your own, the moment we try it by ourselves is the time we can be aware that we are capable too.

Its true and its important to have a mentor if possible. A mentor that is someone whom you know and having enough experience to implore. That way, you can minimize your mistakes in trading and and so with losses. If you cant find a good mentor, you can also learn from self discovery and researches. There are tons of information here and even in youtube.

Very important. But you can always want to know about that mentor if he or she really had a time with actual trading, then you can really trust him/her on his/her teachings about it because he had been through anything.

You can always teach yourself, but a mentor can teach you the lessons they have learned that you won't find in online resources.  If you can find someone to take you under your wing that would be great.

Another idea is to join online communities (such as this) that are dedicated to trading and sharing information.  I would recommend looking into live chat platforms where people are sharing information constantly.  There is a lot of noise, but if you know who and what to filter out there are a lot of great traders out there giving away tons of information for free - you just have to know how to find it.

Best of luck!

You know there's a recipe in successful trades that only us can discovered. That recipe is the product of experienced we had doing trades.

May I asked you a question first,  are you just studying, reading or something... without putting yourself on the actual trades? 10 months is enough time to build a good experienced so I guessed you should know what things you must do on a certain situation.

It's not that Im saying that you need to work on your own but every traders does have a different strategy. That "mentor" you are looking might be successful in their own strategy but might failed if applied by you so don't really purely rely on them. But the good thing here is, you can take their pointers as references which may help you to make your future strategy.

It's not unique to trading or cryptocurrency, having someone else to use as a mentor in everything in life is completely invaluable, so often as an individual you'll make repeated mistakes that you yourself cannot notice, a mentor can point them out for you, they can also help to keep you motivated and on the right track to achieve your goals.

With the help of the mentors in crypto, I think this brought good and well developed ways on handling trading activities. Despite of the bad market we still have an opportunity to gain much better knowledge in order for us to avoid diving out of the market's uncertainty situations.

Well there is a difference like heaven and earth! It's like going to the gym alone. What result will you come to? There is a small percentage who succeeds without the help of a coach. There is someone could, but after a long time making very many mistakes. But I understand you are in this percentage do not enter, just ask here. Now imagine, you started with a coach. And a year later, you've changed so much that you don't recognize yourself. Now think about how much time you've saved. And this will probably be the unit of account in the difference. Time - you yourself can learn the basics of trading, and even become a guru. But you have to spend a lot of time. The training of a lifetime! And you can reduce-get rid of committing stupid mistakes, under the guidance of an experienced mentor.

I agree with most of the comments here.

It is very important that someone is looking after you. Besides it does bring fun, they can also see errors of whatever choices you did which are wrong.
But it is not easy to find that one who will have enough patience to look after you even after so many bad decisions.
It cannot be just a friend that you picked from the streets. It must be someone that will be willing to go that far just so you could be almost perfect.

It's hard to find someone who's willing to spend some time with you if you do not have anyone around you who is connected into crypto or trading.

P.S. can anyone recommend any live chats?

Learning is a big process however, you can learn base on how available you are to what you really want to again. Also, the process of cryto learn depends on who is your mentor or teacher and how you are ready for learning. It is easy to learn in cryptosystem but takes time.

In my opinion having someone teaching you about the ups and downs of trading or markets generally is important and yh it can be super helpful. At the same time if you're not lucky enough to know someone who can share that with you then you'd probably have to pay the mentor. Alternatively, you could learn these things yourself but it will take some time and at certain costs.

Do you have 10 months of study and do you have how many months of practice? this is the question, how many months of practice do you have? How many times a day do you practice/trade?

I'll be direct, where the hell are you going to be able to get a mentor? another thing, you know it will be your money and the mentor will not be pressured because it will not be the money in his pocket in case of losses, so practice a lot that you will not need a mentor
