Obviously the downfall in raising good funds by the icos is due to bearish sentiment in the market and that has caused slowness in the market the investors and traders are not able to generate profits rather they are facing losses that is why funds are dried up from ico market as well, im sure situation will improve once market recovers.

Good post OP, the ICO market is down due to bear market as most of the already established cryptocurrency are down by 80% to 90%. IMO investors are buying already established coins/token in exchange directly and also recently lot of projects listed on exchange but got down in price drastically. Due to this investors are loosing interest in the ICOs

This is not surprised me, because it is conceivable that ICO can't do well in September. Because September was the worst month for the crypto in this year, The Ethereum price went down to the lowest level! That is why the whole cryptocurrency market came in a big crisis and most of the people stuck doing anything! Investors stopped investing, many traders stopped trading and so on like this! But I think October month will be better than August! Bitdepositary, Neluns, Urunit ICOs are ending in October and they raised a big amount of money!

It is difficult to make predictions. One thing is for sure, the market is in decline, but this is temporary. Need a trigger or transformation.

From the infographics I'm worried about the money that was collected into the projects that were not successful which is $237M which is so so much.
Imagine that most of the investors have their money locked there and who knows when will they get their money back and how much they will lose.
The ICO trend undoubtedly is going down and people are not trusting the ICO market anymore and the cryptomarket at all.

I agree. The ICO platform really needs many big transformation and it is only by the negative dynamics that changes can come as the market is now demanding for much better options that what can be found and offered at the moment. The ICO platform is actually a very good crowdfunding facility as this is one that democratize and makes investing in many project truly accessible even by ordinary guys like you and me. I am sure that soon we can see the ICO platform evolved and it must really evolve fast...

New parameters are becoming superior. A transformation or a change on ICOs is necessary. There are so funny ICO projects which can easily be seen that they are frauds. A good ICO project always proves itself and gets necessary fund.

Excess money at the end of 2017 spawned a bubble, it naturally collapsed. The market will recover. It will be great if it is restored to its real size, not bloated.

There is many unsuccessfull ICOs because market condition not good. Beside that, peoples trauma with many scam ICOs. They afraid they become victim of scam ICOs and they prefer invest on coin that already in exchanger

Yeap a lot of scams and project without any perspective, it is not very good as it makes bad job for good projects also. and without new ideas and projects crypto market will not be able to develop.

Topic is great , but there are some unclear points. For example Opiria has raised 15 mln a long time ago and they finished tokensale in september, but I doubt they raised more than 500k in september.
In general this is sad statistic reflecting negative mood

To further understand the situation, there is already a thinking that more ICO's will fail rather than to succeed. The percentage shown in the post is accurately pertaining to it. Not all investors will prefer each and every ICO's released, they will contact each other and plan ahead which ICO is the best. Do think of it.

I think that OP was able to gather a good information about ICO's which is being shared to this forum that could actually give more overview in the crypto community. I think because of the bearish market that has been hampering the market to grow probably has an impact of lesser ICO success in the market. Somehow, if market condition could change it's course and becomes bullish in the coming months, then most likely it could make an impact on the ICO projects since I believe market will become more alive again.

I think this statistic shows that even in a bear market there are investors and are willing to invest, but only they have become much more cautious and therefore we see such a trend!

I think this goes to show that people are no longer been swayed or won over by some cosmetic whitepaper. You project, team, and community has to be different and endearing in order to succeed. This will definitely push ICOs to sit up and do their home work before leashing out some half-thought out project.

Lot of ICOs have fallen miserably due to lack of plans or innovations. Also the scams have made it more difficult.

It seems to me that there is even a fraud here, because due to the poor state of the cryptocurrency market, many investors do not want to invest their money in the coins at the ico stage of the company, but they buy coins on the stock exchange. Therefore, projects do not have opportunities for development.
