Anybody knows why there was this big pump today

no one seems to know the certainty of the pump alt coin today, of course that is all just market speculation, and I think the answers from friends are all close to the truth, for myself I still observe the movement of alt coins with a thin smile

Today, bitcoin's value increased around 15 percent. It didn't take long to get to $7500 and the way the price increased it wasn't natural, just a pump, it came down in a few moments. Now it is around $6800.

Looking at it now, the line of pump goes too straight and the dump is almost as fast, which truly looks like a manipulation:

I tried to search the news for that day, but nothing seems to explain this sudden movement. All the articles I see are just dumbly stating that the prices went up and went down by certain percentage!

According to the information I read in the past day, there was a short-term fluctuation in the market because of trust issues with Tether. As a result of the statements and news against Tether, investors wanted to sell their Tether balances and opted for high transactional cryptocurrencies in the market. F

This might be it, but I don't see any specific news about Tether that we published on 15th of October and could trigger such a weird picture of the market.

This big pump you experience before maybe resulting from a sudden change of the value. We can also take into consider that it might be manipulated by something that we didn't know for the meanwhile. What a good thing to do is to grab the opportunity when there is a big pump.

Probably because someone was pumping it. there are lots of reasons why pumps happen and most time it is just whales playing with the prices to benefit them and the average investor just has to sit by and watch. The thing with big pumps like this is that there are always followed by a dump which means that if you buy at such a time then you are going to end up watching the price go down

It was caused due to the  speculation that Tether is not fully backed. There is a correlation with Bitfinex which is a part owner
in Tether company and they are  heavily trading with Tether as well. Many  people were scared and in panic and started moving
 their Tether to other alternatives. It was a big contributing factor that day for price increase of BTC.

Probably traders are starting to convert in preparation for the upcoming bull run. Most of the crazy stuff happens in October. So it is normal that we "gear up" by taking advantage of the "still" reasonable price/s currently available. This may actually be a signal. Something that we may consider.

It is all about hype. Real rate does not changed, so there were no pump. BTC just recovered to its normal stage after the fall. There is nothing to talk about.

There is nothing to talk about. BTC felt to 6000 then it recovered to 6000 and it is the stable price for it. No bumb, no movement at all, nothing to hype.

I think the last quarter rally is about to begin. There is this believe that every  last quarter of the year. Beside the year has been on most bearish and this rally significantly shows the reversal trend is about push us to the end of the year.
