How can we stop Bitcoin's negative publicity?-Rebranding.

So I am subscribed to quite a few crypto news and general news websites; and one thing that frustrates me to no end is to see such negative publicity of this currency!
And I know most of the people are of the opinion that bitcoin doesn't really need publicity! But I think a little rebranding is very much needed to put bitcoin in the good light.Try to focus on the good things of it, its qualities, maybe it will help it to stabilize or something?

Rebranding bitcoin's name will do more bad than good in my opinion. Even though a lot of people look at bitcoin in a negative manner, it doesn't matter. Instead of rebranding, what's better is that we wait for the developers to make bitcoin as easy to use as possible, hence potentially decreasing the negative feedback.

How do you stop bitcoin's negative publicity? BUIDL, and educate people on their false impressions of bitcoin. There's a lot of skeptics but they're skeptics simply because they mostly don't understand a lot of things about bitcoin. That's why we always get stuff like "why use bitcoin if we can use USD mobile banking?" and stuff like that.

Every financial system goes through its own fair share of criticism and negativity,even the USD has millions of its counterfeit currencies in circulation,it causes and brings about negative news..
There have been numerous hacks on our conventional financial systems(banks), it definitely brings about negative news from the media and users, but is there any talk about re-branding them..

Even as far back as World War II the nazis were able to forge counterfeiting USD and British pounds,thats so much for negativity isn't it, but this currencies happen to be number 1 and 2 respectively today..

It's just impossible to run a financial system,a medium of exchange,store of value ETC, Like the bitcoin and not expect fraudulent activities that will breed negativity, so why worry about bitcoins negative feedback,instead of doing that get into the system and start making profits of it.

Try to focus on the good things of it, its qualities, maybe it will help it to stabilize or something?

We do not really need bitcoin to be stable,if the bitcoin is rooted at a particular price how then can investors and traders make profits of the network

I think you make an interesting observation about perception of bitcoin at the moment.   Although i'll go as far as to say this perception is of crypto in general due mainly to the way that the media tend to report on crypto but bitcoin in particular.  
There is something about trust in the idea of phsycial cash that people can't seem to attribute with bitcoin/crypto, if you add that doubt with the negative news and government opposition to bitcoin then all of these creates problems for mass adoption.

IMO, i think the most important thing is about education and making the use of bitcoin/crypto as SIMPLE TO USE as possible.   In my discussions with crypto newbies, one thing i have noticed is the lack of desire to have to learn about blockchain tech and understanding how the whole thing works.  If the crypto world can somehow make this process a lot simpler and easy to follow, add to that some positive drive to change perception, i would hope that bitcoin and crypto in general might become a widely accepted payment method and better perceived concept.

"Rebranding" is what a failed company (in this case failed altcoin) does in order to start fresh and fool people by trying to hide the dirty history it had. bitcoin does not have such dirty history and does not need to hide anything so there is no need for "rebranding".

To replace those negative impressions on bitcoin, the government should first recognize bitcoin and from there every thing might follow smoothly. Since, bitcoin is already used worldwide, why don't every government acknowledge its presence and recognize so that they can start putting some rules and regulations just to bring trust.

I think rebranding is not the solution we are in the beginning of accepting cryptocurrencies by public so we have to wait a liitle time to adopt bitcoin naturally its actually gaining some attention to every corners of the world slowly but in the end after some years bitcoin will reveal itself to public how powerful it is despite of this negativeness being thrown by some against in crypto.

you can't do anything about people who are spreading these kinds of negativity about bitcoin all around the media. even if you do a rebrand they will have an additional excuse to bash bitcoin and we all know they need a new excuse to do it since everything they have been using so far is overused and see through at this point.
not to mention that rebranding is like erasing the problem instead of trying to solve it. and the problem is that bitcoin is new and decentralized so there is no centralized authority (like a company) that can sue them for defamation and false information spreading. so they do it freely.

I dont think there is anything we can do about Bitcoin's publicity atm other than waiting for developers to improve it. With a better ease of use, people will naturally favour it.

there is no such words as rebranding in the crypto space . Bitcoin is here to stay according to Warren Buffet .there is no currency that is been advertise to  the public to be use since the inception of financial revolution. what we need is more usage in online shops. we can also create our individual shops online where we only accept cryptocurrency for the purchase of goods and service only . by so doing many we have no choices than to use cryptocurrency . it must start from us here .

Don't worry about the bad publicity, when the media owners and shareholders have bought a good handful of bitcoins, you will start to see positive news all around.

Rebranding is not good solutions although if people considering it but there is no guarantee negative publicity will be decreasing and people will always be spread negative news regarding bitcoin because pros and cons will always be there but i think the current investors are stronger when facing bad news for bitcoin so nothing to worried about it

If you are asking me if how to stop bitcoins negative publicity is that there's no other way to stop it if there will be people who will never stop in making negative publicity against bitcoin so in order to ease this out bitcoin must have to increased its market value to counter the negative publicity.

Any historical innovation which led to a great change from the norm was met with skeptism from majority if people.
And the financial sector is a very difficult sector to grow in, especially as a new technology.
The idea of bitcoin is a little complicated for those who have little interest in really researching on it.
And not much can be done about the doubters and nay Sayers, the continuous survival of this technology would convince them.

You can't rebrand it. Bitcoin is its own thing and the media has their own narrative and they're going to stick to it ignoring any positives or benefits of it. Mentioning all the negative or bad elements of things always gets more attention and that isn't just limited to bitcoin but everything. Good news for people who love bad news as they say. One thing that always annoys me about the media surrounding crypto is when bitcoin falls by $100 or so the headline is never just "Bitcoin drops by $100" but rather "BILLIONS WIPED OFF THE VALUE OF BITCOIN" which always seems much more alarmist and is just done because it sounds more dramatic, but helps to spread fud in the process.

Re-branding is not a necessity for bitcoin as everyone view things on a different shade and a different light. There will always be people who would rather see the negatives rather than focus on what a certain asset can do, same as to any other financial instruments who had their fair share of criticism and scrutiny from the general public and experts alike. What bitcoin needs are places to spend to show its effectiveness and superiority over any other payment systems, thus sealing the debate on bitcoin's capability to be an excellent payment system over any other currency available out there right now.

You can't stop Bitcoin's negative publicity because there are people who will put in their time to just to hate Bitcoin and mislead people. Rebranding won't do much to remedy the situation. Mjglqw's answer is one way to maintain the problem from getting worse but it won't fully stop others from saying bad things about Bitcoin. If you can't stand the negativity ignore them, eventually you'll get used to it that's what happened to me after reading several articles and threads.

That is what I think as well, time is needed for Bitcoin to be a thing, imagine the time it took for USD to

Dominate the market of the world, Bitcoin is going to do the same over a shorter period of time compared

To the USD, I would say that in the next two hundred years Bitcoin will be the currency of future generations.

Bitcoin certainly doesn't need a rebranding, what would we call it? we can't change anything about the nature

in my opinion, rebranding is something that has no effect if we people who act as btc holders still use btc as a negative thing and consider btc to be gambling or bubble, so the image of btc will continue that way even if rebranding. in my opinion, what must be changed is that the people inside use btc, if it is used for positive things, it will produce positive news too, and will attract more new investors who will use btc.
