Just look in the history 50-100 years back. There was the same story with paper shares. the same ratio between scams and reliable projects.
It doesn't matter in which form shares( or promissory notes, or other assets) are issued, either on paper or like a crypto token. The form of shares doesn't protect you from a scam, you should take care  yourself.

I believe that cryptocurrency is just the next wave of money evolution. It will replace fiat money in future, and  all attributes of the existing financial system will be changed too. So ICO should replace completely  the existing now IPO(paper shares). That is a future.

I would say ICOs are here to stay. Though many scam ICOs has emerged, there are still great ones that has every intention to improve our current system.

In my opinion, only the ICOs that were serious in achieving their goals will remain. You can determine one project is good if they can be able to provide a working product since it gives more confidence to investors that they know what they're doing. I've been keeping an eye out on NeuronChain for now. They're one of the projects out there who developed their product first instead of making promises with a whitepaper.

Indeed the scam project making the crypto world look bad, but not all project that opening an ICO is scam, there are still good project among them, we just have to find that good one.

not all crypto scams, but even so, we have to be able to sort out which ones are good ones, my advice is to learn about the ico, check who the dev is, see how ico is developing, I think that's enough to help you guys

ico remains available in the future, but in the future all ico must provide an amazing and different idea from ico before and they will compete tightly to get the attention of investors. ico scam is always there and scammers will also improve their ability to always cheat and manipulate.

ICO has its future also the bitcoiner will have a brighter future if you able to attached and keep holding on and tried different ICO. Yes we cannot control those scammers who keep thinking for a bad thing but it is up to us on how are we going to find an ICO which is very competitive enough to gain more profit at all.

instead, I was worried about the ethereum network that was used by the ico scam project, but it seems that there are now many ico projects that benefit investors, but the project sometimes does not develop because the dev's goal is only profit.

No need to discuss too much about the future of ICO cause IMO, ICO will be able to survive in the future although there are so many scam ICO projects cause it's not enough to kill ICO. There is no need to worry ourselves about the future of ICO. It will always be what it's destined to be. Whether now or in the future, there will always be scam projects and there will also be legit projects that need funding for development. We just have to be cautious not to fall in the wrong ones.

Maybe we should all drop the ICOs concept. We have seen very successful projects such as Hydro and Kanadecoin which never did ICO but have been doing great in the market, and meeting up with their roadmap.
