What is your relationship with sleep? How many hours a day do you sleep? Do you doze in the afternoon? How to adjust your sleep and get enough sleep? I wonder your opinion.

Over the past year I have been averaging about 5 hours a day (courtesy of my Fitbit tracker).  I don't set alarms or anything, I sleep until my mind is refreshed and then I wake up.  Not sure why I need so little sleep, as most of my daily activities are more mental than physical.

It's said that if you need to wake to an alarm, you are not getting enough sleep.  :/

I have a bad relationship with my sleep, I'm lucky enough to have 4-5 hours of sleep a day and no chance of napping because I have responsibilities at home.

My most fruitful working time is night so as you might have already guessed I don't have enough sleep. sadly

I know that it's not healthy to sleep 12 hours on the weekend but I really can do nothing with it.
The best strategy of sleep I used to heid was 5 hours of night sleep and 2 of day nap)))

I try to stick to a sleep schedule of the same bedtime and wake up time, even on the weekends. This helps to me regulate body's clock and could help fall asleep and stay asleep for the night.
A relaxing, routine activity right before bedtime conducted away from bright lights helps separate your sleep time from activities that can cause excitement, stress or anxiety which can make it more difficult to fall asleep, get sound and deep sleep or remain asleep.

There are benefits in sleeping with your partner that you have a relationship with, rather than simply lying awake in bed.

I sleep too much which I don't like to do that but I can't control myself. I hate to sleep too much. I wish to sleep normal times but when I am in asleep then all wish is gone to water.

Sometimes I like to sleep in the afternoon when my body feels really very tired. However, I will relate to the relationship between sleeping and working (in this forum). The way I adjust sleep time is to limit our work time in front of the monitor screen so that we can sleep on time and never delay work because it can reduce our rest time.

I work free-lance so now I'm trying to sleep enough. 8 hours min and sometimes I can even afford more.
If I sleep 6 - I need to get a couple of extra hours at noon which can be a problem.
And yeah...I often go to bed too late - at 3 am for example which is not good of course
I think if I went to bed before midnight, I would get a better and shorter sleep

That is so hard core! Why do keep that unhealthy schedule?

That is an exaggeration to be clear with. I am busy doing things I guess. But don't worry, I get as much rest as I need to and make sure to eat only proper food with regular exercise. But then again there are times that I got focus on playing olnine games that I didn't notice that the sun is already up. There are days that I get enough 8 hours and days that I don't get anything at all but this is adulting101 for me.

My daily routine changes, I'm sleeping at different time. Since we have different time zones, I'm sleeping at dawn. And this resulted to me to lose more things that I'm doing before, my relationship with sleep isn't the same as before.

I consider myself started to live unhealthy.

I sleep for either 2 or 14 hours. There is no in between.

I understand this, people who have been sleeping for few hours or more than that are experiencing a lot of things. It's either insomia or they have a sleep disorder.
