Do you know any operating (with consistent payout and good customer cares) without a license?
Can you bet with a betting site that has no license, maybe because they're starting new and currently has no money for licensing fee?
Thanks in advance for your opinions

As sports betting is mainly legal around the world, I don't think there would be much of a problem with getting a license. Lack of license is considered to be a bad sign, because there will be no legal entity to blame in case the company scams people. Here is a link where you can find some useful information about obtaining a license in Europe: https://www.sportsbettingdime.com/guides/legal/european-licensing-regions/. For instance, the Gibraltar Licensing Aurthority taxes the income of the casino, but the fee is only 0.15% and only what's above 100k GBP in income each year actually gets taxed. But the yearly licensing payment seems extremely high. As for finding an unlicensed sports casino, it's not very easy, because they wouldn't make this information public. If you browse through casinos in the Darknet, though, I am sure they are not licensed.

Gibraltar actually charge 10% corporate tax for foreign operators (Non Uk businesses) which is pretty high compare to Curacao. But it kind of give you direct access to the UK Market which is really big is Sports Betting, especially football. I don't know how far Malta License can really go in Europe? Thanks for the link, I'll check it out

A serious betting company will not spend thousands of USD plus software agreement terms just to cheat customers. I'm not saying that's not impossible.
Yeah, a sportsbook with regular presence in a forum community like this may just be a huge factor in deciding who to bet with because they wouldn't want to face backlash and criticism here.

Is it still possible to start and run a Gambling site without a License? Of course! In case of cypto currencies the payment processor blockchain does not ask for a license and over 90% percent of the bettors do not care whether or not a sportsbook has one. They also do not care to register its accounts with Game Protect and play with consumer protection service inclusive instead of register directly at random sportsbooks and moan in forums after got scammed.

Yes, all those big gambling site of this days stated without no license but thats no advisable this days because those days the issue of online gambling site scam are not rampant and sportbook site with no license are not consider legit. I myself cant bet on a gambling site that does not have a license and most gamblers only believe on good reputable gambling site with license. Mind you, EU license are somehow expensive but if you're thinking of getting a license you can get one from the Gibraltar, Curacao etc. In the meantime, I will advice to seek an egaming legal practitioner in your country first for proper arrangement and tips.

I hace opinions about licencing for gambling but I think it gets a little trickier for sportsbooks perhaps because they may need it to feed into odds providers. It would also let them tap into a very significant North American market. I suppose the Asian options are easier in a way but Bitcoin might complicate that.
That said, I've not really seen how licences help. The sites I trust the most either are unlicenced or are licenced in jurisdictions that won't prove helpful if I ever had a case against them. Licence is the last thing on my list when choosing a Bitcoin site.

it is not only possible to not have a license and run a gambling website, but many relatively popular sites have been doing it for years without any problem, even the giants like Primedice or Bitsler only got licensed after some period of time with provably fair gaming it is NOT 100% necessary to have a license, especially with a dice site or a small casino, blockchain based, for example sportsbooks is a completely different story, usually they require a license to operate, but it depends on the laws of the countries some sites have casino+sportsbook , like betking, for example, other big players like bitdice are planning to introduce one soon so it really is up to you to look for some random Curacao license or not, don't think this licensing body will help you in any ways if you have a dispute with a casino but it is just my IMHO

Hmm... serious process of legalization and regulation of the gambling markets started relatively recently, so no wonder that some sportsbooks/casinos had no licence and could work like that. And nowadays, even though they all can cheat players, I still prefer to play at licensed casinos/sportsbooks.

I'm the complete opposite. I only play at crypto casinos and sportsbooks, and I think only 1 of them is licensed, or maybe not at all (I can't really be bothered). Have I been cheated at casinos? Yes. Have they been licensed? Yup! And did the license help me when I tried to claim my funds? Good luck, they never helped me. Trust in crypto is a strange thing. Like on this forum, you can trust DT1 members... but it still doesn't guarantee anything. Same as crypto casinos. They can work well for 5 years and scam one day. Just to be safe, gamble, withdraw, and be done.

We have our own will and common sense actually. Tendency of shady behavior is really there but even unlicensed gambling sites doesn't mean that they aren't fair.Just look up around and you will find on how many of them do perform well into the entire market inspite on having no license.

I think its possible to build up a reputation as a new site but people will only place small bets for a long time and want to withdraw the winnings every time. Thats how I've used new sites in the past, rather then avoid them altogether. The problem is in all the startup costs I guess, its a balancing act as you wont have the ongoing revenue advantage
