Introduction

Caliber is a new Monero fork, one of the most respectable cryptocurrency well-known for security, privacy, untraceability. Caliber implements Bulletproofs from network launch. This combined with 4 minute block times (2x that of Monero) results in a significantly smaller chain. Estimated to be 1/10th - 1/20th of the size of the Monero blockchain pre-bulletproofs.

This is crucial to help promote decentralization as most users on pre Bulletproof blockchains have moved from local node to remote nodes.


Economics

All other Cryptonote coin emission curves are flawed by design as the coin value bleeds due to extreme early inflation after initial launch even with increasing market-cap. This is catastrophic for the early investor and adoption as a whole. Caliber implements a custom supply curve slowing the rate of inflation significantly to not hurt any investors.

The reward for the first 10,000 blocks starts at 8.7 CAL. Afterwards this will reduce to 2.1 CAL per block.



Caliber Payroom

The first platform for the Caliber network developed by the core team is Payroom. A completely private chat app + Caliber Cryptocurrency wallet. This allows our users to be able to find other Caliber users to chat with and transfer Caliber coins to pay for Goods and services.

Caliber Payroom leverages its technology from two of the best open source projects: Signal and Monero. Taking the best from both projects and combining them creates the best private communication and payment system all in one. Send messages to a Caliber wallet address via Caliber Payroom and pay them directly.

CPU: Run caliberd. Once you are in sync, open the caliber-wallet-cli. Create or open and existing wallet. Type “start_mining”. Specify 2 threads or more like so: “start_mining 2”

Unfortunately it seems you didn't take into account how people would behave regarding the first minable blocks.
You have individuals (a few or many) attacking your coin by (what appears to be) using nicehash or the like.

You have the largest pool showing a pool hashrate of 3MH+, while the network registers as 1.5MH+.  It's the same attack pattern that hit electroneum.  Massive hash hit, with tons of solved blocks.. then it slows down to rougly 1.3MH to 1.4MH on the pool for a short while and another spike.

You have a small number of people scooping up all the coins so they can create a master node (or multiple master nodes?) or do a mass sell off when the coin reaches a profitable level.

Quite the unfortunate start that can cause the derailment of the coin as a desirable mining prospect.

It didn't seem to be an attack. The chain split off into 5 alternate chains at some point because of the very rapid increase of hash on the network. Its really not that much out the ordinary. Also Caliber has no Masternodes...
