This year we have witnessed many scams projects that we have invest in more than others years.  I think scamming activities is high this year more than others years and I will like to find out the way out of this. Are we going to find solutions for this by developing more security projects? I think we can kick scammers from icos market and if we can not do this governments should come in and help this market.
Governments are not going to help us anyway because they don't know how that is why they are restricting the users from participating on ICOs so it has disadvantage over the positive sides. So we need to do something to help these scammers away from the crypto just by learning how to identify the scammers and most of the times they can be found by doing proper research about their project team.

I think developing many security projects is a good way to get rid of scammers. One of the reasons for the lack of investor interest in ICO is the large number of scammers roaming the crypto market.

I dont know man but this kind of act is like they are being funded by a large syndicate.

It will keep on going. Before, it was hacks that have been going to much. They must have seen much money to rob when they create scams ICO. Yeah, it is worth millions of dollars than getting pennies from hacking one wallet address to another or just a phishing scam.

To stop it? Early knowledge before they even hit their ICO. There is pre ICO which mostly they will get just a little fund. Their greediness will get them caught when they want more out of it or thought it really clicked to the people. They will continue for the ICO afterwards. That time you should have known that they are already a scam project.

One good idea is trash the being anonymous of their project.
They cannot be anonymous, they are not satoshi.  Grin
Since most ICO's have been a scam then others have been having a hard time to get their soft cap. I once supported a good project who got bankrupt because of not hitting the soft cap.

Those are example of project that are being hit also by this scammers since investors are now doubting the process.

You need to change the system and connect trusted persons who will not give all the money to developers until they release their product or at least a prototype of the product, then you may be able to reduce the number of Scam projects

It went up so bad. Our moderators here and police have been busy looking for those scams.
Well, thanks to the users also since they are reporting this scam projects.
We might as well help each other into looking deeper on which is scam and report it quickly. We may not be taking them all out. But one by one will help.
Somehow this will make them tired to create another ICO scam here.

We should definitely be very sensitive before investing in and trusting projects. Investing in the right projects positively affects the market. Therefore, we need to direct investments to the right projects.

i think it is hard to regulate the icos unless countries will ban entirely the icos. as decentralization manifest in crypto, it is the investors sole responsibility to check whether the project is good or scam. we cannot delegate that.

"Regulation" would be the thing that can really help out to reduce the risk of Scam projects. Strict compliance or validations on project team owners will really be the key on avoiding anonymous
groups that do create fraud projects just to scam out millions of dollars into investors.I cant deny the high rate of scam as of this year compared into the last ones.

In fact, it is difficult to answer what to do with scams, of course it is very terrible when scams are almost more than normal projects, you need to think of something to fight with them

Authorities are doing their share to combat fraudster and crypto projects that are ponzi scheme just take a look at this article
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-hedge-fund-and-ceo-slapped-with-25-million-penalty-for-ponzi-scheme on our part we should post those scam projects on this forum so people will know and analyze the project that they intend to invest.

It's kinda hard to fight scam on the crypto space because the space is a decentralized space, apart from been a decentralized space, it is still unregulated, meaning that there is no standard to follow when investing or host ICO, the little we can do is to educate more people about the space and helping to report scam whenever we spot one, the more people learn how to spot scam project, the better the space becomes.

As the crypto market is expanding and its incetors are increasing, so is the number of scammers. It has also become a part of the crypto system, and skilled investors are the only one who are avoidng the scammers with success. And it is impossible to kick scammers out of a decentralized system like cryptocurrency. However, if the government come and centralize it, we will have the chance of kicking the scammers, but it will be done at the cost of cryptocurrency itself, as cryptocurrency will not be what it is if centralized.

It is noticeable for everyone and it totally ruin everything  around.  It also makes people give doubts and uncertainty towards crypto. If these things will continue,  investors will never invest on new project,  instead they'll just give deal on the existing one cause they are sure that it is already working.

what we have to doubt about a scam project is. remember the name of the manager who manages it, don't let us join their Bounty. and don't let us invest either in Ico or their Coin ..

I think there must be a security agency that oversees the ICO, where each ICO must go through verification first before raising funds for investors, if the ICO cannot be verified then it can be ascertained that the ICO that is run is illegal. I hope there will be an institution like this, if there really is anyone who wants to make a security company like this, I am ready to become an investor, because I am concerned about investors who are cheated investors

Very good idea, after I read your post, I am very interested in your idea, I have also never seen a company that intends to become an ICO analyzing company, I'm sure if the company is created, and launching a token it will be successful

Well, it is clear that fraudsters have become more than in previous years. And how to deal with them - in any case, they will always be.

Scammers were late to notice that it is quite easy to fool the investors with fake ICOs. Even in 2017, there were a number of efforts, but this year they have become more innovative.
