in a way they have all contributed to the industry and helped moving it forward but some names in that list should not be in there in my opinion. for example the damages that Roger Ver inflicted on bitcoin will take a long time to be healed. or Vitalik Buterin who is not even confident in his own creation and only cared enough as long as he hadn't sold part of his premined coins to make millions. but as soon as he did that he started showing his real face.

Why do we have to agree or disagree with a top 10 list? Those people (or some of them) have huge contribution for the crypto world. Some of them made it just for the money, other wanted to change the world, but they have created something revolutionary. They are going just fine, with or without our appreciation(well,I don't know about Satoshi).

When I saw the title, I thought McAfee wasn't on the list. I think Satoshi will always be at the top of the list.

They may have had their fruity moments, but there's no denying that crypto would not be where and what it is without their presence. That counts rather more for Vitalik than Roger Ver. He's made noise and thrown money around but I don't think he's made any truly epoch making moves.

I don't have to disagree or agree with the list. As usual, I see satoshi topping the list. Apart from satoshi, I have heard more of Charlie Lee and I believe litecoin is a very nice coin just like bitcoin.

Satoshi Nakamoto seems anonymous and not active again yet his contribution is the main cause of the mystery behind bitcoins. The others and new developers upcoming have make the blockchain interesting research field.

Yes, I also don't know anything about Satoshi, and most of all the characters above. So we agree or disagree with this list for what? Each of them has a unique contribution to Blockchain technology.

So we agree or disagree with this list for what?
I have absolutely no idea whatsoever who or what Galia Benartzi is or what she's done to make my life better. Since no one else has raised any type of objection I'll presume she's 100% amazeballs.

I believe the people on the list have contributed immensely to blockchain technology. But as to whether they are the pioneering leaders is matter of interest. Maybe a clear cut research needs to be conducted to see the raw facts so people can really appreciate their good works for blockchain.

why would you even think about a person such as McAfee? he is more like a twitter troll who made profit from ICO scams that he promoted and the altcoins he pumped. he has not contributed anything at all to this world apart from hyping and making money from it like a parasite. a contribution is either like Satoshi who created this whole thing or like A. Antonopoulos who has been educating people for years.

Ver is a con artist. His entire business model is based on tricking newbies in to thinking that BCH is somehow "the real bitcoin". That phrase always makes me laugh at just how stupid it is. His website, Bitcoin.com, is full of complete lies, like calling BTC "bitcoin core", stating BTC is "unusable" and stating the BTC transactions cost $30 and take 10 hours. He is a scammer that lies to newbies that don't know any better to sell his trash altcoin.
Larimer is hardly much better. He launches a project, takes his profit, then abandons it to failure. He did it first with Bitshares, which has just been delisted from Bittrex. Then he launched Steem - a complete mess of a platform, controlled entirely by a handful of big players and their bot networks. He took his profit and abandoned that too. Then he launched EOS, which is centralized, full of corruption, vote collusion and too expensive to use. Won't be long before he leaves. Keep an eye out for his next big scam, no doubt coming in 2019.

There are many very talented people working in the background-people like the technical men and women who shun the limelight and quietly make it all work pretty well in general. Good ideas are 10 a penny but it is the execution that makes or breaks projects, and that's were the real hard work is done.

Its kind of cool because all these people have really contributed alot to the development, progress and massive adoption of blockchain, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large . its really awesome to have them in the leading front. I believe we will see more people added to this list very soon.

The list is in chronological order, which started from the most famous cryptocurrency/blockchain to the list. Listing the pioneers on the basis of the popularity seems alright by Satoshi Nakomoto and Vitalik Buterin is my favourite from the bunch.

I'm kind of new to Bitcoin, and I got to say that Satoshi Nakamoto definitively deserves to be at the top of the list.

I am not sure about the order in the list but surely these people are the pioneers of the cryptocurrency industry. Their cummulative effort pushed the cryptocurrency in the place where it is now.

I am not sure about the order of the list but it a well established fact that those persons on the list have immensely contributed to the crypto world save a one or two.

Patrick M. Byrne should rather replace Roger Ver on that list, because Roger Ver does not deserve a spot on that list. Yes, he dumped a lot of money into Bitcoin, when it was still virtually unknown, but Patrick Byrne showed the world that large merchants were willing to support Bitcoin and he opened up the door for more to follow. Having money, does not qualify you to be on the list.
