thinking of the reasons behind the success of the minable coins like bitcoin that has no other function then a decentralised currency. Is it the quantity, security, halfing period and amount, or else.
What could be the best features we can have in a minable coin.? I am not asking for additional features, but according to you what is the best settings to introduce another bitcoin like coin.
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Instantaneous transaction, as for instance, on a POS at a retail store or coffee house. That would be like, "really" currency.

A feature to increase it's anonymity to a higher level, like some coins has with built-in mixer services. I know a lot of people rely on Mixer services to increase anonymity with Bitcoin and there is nothing wrong with these services, but trust will always be an issue.

Government agencies has shown that they can infiltrate or mimic these services and then use these services as a honey trap to prosecute specific individuals, like they do with Exit nodes on the Tor network. Built-in anonymity just makes it more convenient.  Tongue

If BTC do have this ability then i dont see for other coins need to be created. Everything would already be perfect or just enough on having just one. Scalability at its best.

I cant deny that this would be a good add up.

It's not about the features. It's about the team of developers and the "tribe" of supporters that make a coin strong, secure and valuable. You can have a genius consept or a briliant idea, but without a good team behind you, your ideas and plans are nothing.

A new consensus algorithm that bares the same level of decentralisation as POW but yet a variation that is much of efficient and eco-friendly for the environment.

1) Scalability.  Bitcoin does not have the ability to do millions of transactions per second.

Majority of "scalable" products in the space are dependent on BFT which can be highly centralised. What's the point of an asset that defies the ambition of what Bitcoin was created for but yet exemplifies itself to be a contender of.

The only project i've found that is attempting to tackle a system that is scalable whilst baring uttermost decentralisation is Cypherium with their hybrid BFT/POW consensus algorithm.

People say scalability but I always see it as the ideal problem for a coin to have, just as Bitcoin has had over the years - without the problem of scalability, there is little external push for technological progress. If Bitcoin capacity were never tested, we might have not seen SegWit or Lightning Network arrive so quickly, for example.

Exactly. At a technical level, most coins are "superior" to Bitcoin but let's face it. The majority of Bitcoin users couldn't ever tell the difference between blockchains, except perhaps perceived levels of speed and cost (and if users move to an alt it is generally because of these two).

I've seen technologically inferior coins with perhaps less mature blockchains, less robust scaling and security, yet have a community firmly behind them and willing to go to great lengths to use them - take Dogecoin as the almost eternal example.
