If you had 10000$ where would you invest it?  I'm hoping for 10x in about 2 years, how would you personally split that money? There are so many altcoins that I dont know which to pick, I remember the top 5 altcoins from years ago and  now they are all gone, so should I only invest in  BTC end ETH or others like NEO, ADA and EOS?
Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

I will invest in Organicco. Sometimes people always limit success to popular cryto. There are alts that has the potential of maintaining  a sustainable growth in the crypt market due to their usability.

I'm hoping for 10x in about 2 years
You're looking to make 10 times your investment within 2 years?  Dude, you really ought to lower your expectations unless you know something nobody else knows.  And if you plan to make that money in the altcoin market, be prepared for some serious disappointment.  One of these days people are going to figure out that there's no point in owning 99.99% of altcoins on the market, that there will never be any real-world use cases for any of them, and that the only thing they'll ever be good for is trading them with other suckers.

So, as to what to do with $10k.  If I were you, I'd either buy bitcoin (and that's pretty risky itself) and hold it, or I'd wait until the stock market crashes and then buy some good dividend-paying stocks when they're cheap.  Stay out of the shitcoin market if you know what's good for you, because the good times of making easy money aren't going to last.  In 2 years many shitcoins might not even exist anymore--or at least there might not be any buyers for the ones you want to sell.

Good luck and remember to put the dollar sign before the dollar amount.  lol

You need to divide that into multiple investment you do not need to do all in in 1 or 2 coins, i agree that you need to have bitcoin and eth but much better to buy 5 or more altcoin that you know have potential to give you a profit to achieved your target income.

Well that is what I meant, I don't know which coins will survive in 2 years time, BTC is the most stable out of all and because the ETH platform is so widely used I think ETH will not crash either. As for how risky it is, I don't think BTC will go to 1k again, I am still waiting for it to go under 5k to buy in though. And man there are so many altcoins out there right now I don't know in which to invest, I am thinking to invest 50% in BTC, 25% in ETH and the rest in some altcoins.

$ 10,000-certainly good money to invest, but do not forget that with a high probability you can lose them.
Strategy for investing the most important thing that you need.
I would not invest all the money in 1 altcoin, and would divide this amount into a portfolio of 10 top tokens to minimize the risks. And certainly in any case not to invest in garbage!.
My list:
Bitcoin 10%,
Ethereum-10%,
Ripple-10%,
EOS - 10%,
Cardano-10%,
NEO - 10%,
Ontology-10%,
Wanchain-10%,
ICON - 10%,
QuarkChain-10%
I am sure that these tokens will not be thrown into the trash and they will give a good profit over time and even more than *10.

Under current market conditions, we have CEO's and major stockholders dumping their holdings in record numbers. On the real estate front, we have owners selling at reduced prices en masse with reports that another real estate crash could be incoming. Crypto may not be the most attractive investment atm. Part of the reason for this involves regulation eliminating some of the advantages crypto investments used to have--things that made them different from traditional investments or catered to demographics which institutional investment firms ignored.

There are markets which could have significant growth potential. Legalized marijuana could be worth a look. Saudi Arabia threatened to raise the price of oil if the west meddle in internal affairs relating to their censoring and murdering of a journalist. If the price of oil increases, some stocks like tesla could stand to benefit, although offhand I couldn't say which stocks would be best positioned to gain from a boost in oil prices. Chinese businesses could be worth shorting if the tariff war continues in earnest and related policies are passed.

Offhand I would say anything that creates large amounts of debt can often be profitable. Example of this, we have massive student loan debt issues--which could mean the businesses and institutions which are owed that debt are good investments. Its known that healthcare in the USA is super expensive and unaffordable--which could translate to healthcare stocks being worth picking up. People have probably heard on the news that the F-35 is extremely overbudget which could translate to lockheed martin stock being a good investment. That might be a negative and somewhat depressing way to look @ things. There definitely could be a significant correlation between large amounts of debt and hideous amounts of profit.

If you're dead set on crypto investment, I saw Tron's (TRX) CEO recently claim to have significant technical advantages over both ETH and EOS.

Its difficult for me to say what's hot and what's not. I really need to put more effort into researching things. Been slacking way too much.

I'll use 10% from that fund, you know trading is so hard, many people are loss their asset, for example in early 2018 that crypto already bullish then no need more time its reverse the situation, all people are panic then out from crypto.
One thing that you must know about trading, your fund. Make sure that money not loss. Profit 1% per day its really good.

This is my main account. My alt account for bounty report in the future >> asa crypto info

the biggest problem here is that you can not answer this question yourself and that is what you should become capable of, before making any kind of investment. otherwise if you are inexperienced in this market then it most probably doesn't matter what you choose to invest in, you will lose money.

and 10x profit is nothing, it is possible to make a lot bigger than that in the altcoin market but as long as you know how to ride the pumps. for instance last year shitcoins such as XRP had more than 70x rise! and smaller shitcoins with unknown names had more than 150x rises.
but the problem as i said is not existence of these pumps, any shitcoin will pump at some point. the problem is YOU and whether YOU are capable of making profit from these pumps and be experienced enough not to become a bag holder and lose 90% of your money just because of greed like hundreds of others who did this year by holding the same  coins that got pumped that much but eventually also got dumped.

There is a FOMO brewing...

If I had $ 10,000, I would definitely invest in Bitcoin and be determined to hold it for 3 years. I think it is a great electronic currency and attracts a lot of investors there. and I believe its price will never go down over $ 6k. Currently its price is at its bottom and I hope in 3 years, its price will increase to 16k $.

That's a really bad way to distribute. 10% in dead coins like LTC, 10% in centralized scams (XRP), the same amount in BTC and ETH when these coins aren't even on the same level. It will bring you 200000 in 2 years if BTC moons. If not the rest will be worth even less than it is now.

If I had that amount I'd put it all in Bitcoin. If Bitcoin doesn't succeed you can forget that altcoins that depend on it to do any better.

Precisely. If Bitcoin crashes, the others all definitely crash too, probably even harder. It Bitcoin moons, the others might moon, they might not.

Short of being super lucky and catching some tiny unheard of altcoin just before a pump and selling at the peak just before it dumps again, there is no reason to not just stick to Bitcoin. Given how many new trash altcoins are being launched every day, gambling on them means you are almost certainly going to lose your money. If this is the risk:reward rate you are looking for, just go to a roulette table and stick it all on 0.

Threads like this are useless because people just shill you whatever bags they are holding. I can almost guarantee people suggesting coins like XRP and EOS have no idea just how terrible these coins are.

Bitcoin looks the most reliable in the medium term. In the long term, it will most likely be replaced if there is no way to adapt it.
If you do not want to spend time, then Bitcoin is the best option.
If you have time, then you need to look for a project with your blockchain, with a clear idea, a transparent implementation plan, a sustainable business model and a very strong team.
And for $ 10,000 I would buy a used Mini Cooper.

If I was at your place, I would have invested only BTC and ETH. This combination is good because if the price of one of the coins falls, other coin will be benefited. Thus, in long run it is very hard to make a loss with this combination.

You started thread with so nice title and you can expect all alt coin promoters to reply to it. Congrats that's amazing  Smiley

It's not that easy to tell which ones would give you profit and a lot of them now are starting to lose value as time pass by. If the time frame was only for a year or less it could be a viable option but in 2 years the top altcoins we see now might not be even up there anymore. With how most altcoins depends on the price of Bitcoin it's better(imo) if OP stick with the two instead of buying more.
