I am about to buy a new PSU for my pc and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Silverstone Strider 1500W PSU. Also what kind of a UPS should I buy? I currently have 2 GTX 780 and thinking of getting either a GTX 780 more or 2 GTX 750ti. Also a CPU AMD FX 8350. Will that PSU be ok? Thanks in advance!

I ran 4 Titans off a Strider 1500W with a 3930KCPU and X79 mobo so you should be fine, not the most efficient as its only Silver but it will work no problem.

Maybe you can try LEPA 1600W PSU, seems to be a good PSU.

Thanks guys... I see some people being very happy and some not with Silverstone... I RMA'd a Coolermaster 850 and gave me the option to upgrade. Yes mining...

read the newegg reviews.. i wouldn't buy it

I would recommend SeaSonic.. but since they decided to use ribbon cables on many of their psus.... i have only gotten corsairs lately.. and only the ones with the pci cables that are sleeved.

If you have 3 GTX 780 that's great for gaming. They mine rather terribly. Factor 250-300w per GPU.
If you're getting 2 GTX 750 Ti, they are about 60-80w each full load. You could run 5 of them on a 600w PSU.

What hash they have for scrypt? I already had the two gtx 780...

I have had to RMA many silverstones....

I've had to RMA many things, but this Silverstone 1500W has lasted quite a few years now, and has had quad GTX260's, GTX470's, GTX570's and most recently Titans.

+ high end CPU's, RAID arrays and fully watercooled.

Not for mining no, for Folding.

Enhance are the OEM for the Strider 1500W, they also make the high end Coolermaster PSU,s
