I think that this topic belongs to reputation or scam accusation boards. You're saying that hacker deleted his Bitcointalk profile, but as I know it's almost impossible to delete profile here, mod only ban users who are spreading malware. Maybe you know username of this scammer?
Having list of scammer Bitcoin addresses and transactiins can't help much. Hacker have full access to your funds and he can do whatever he wants with it. Nobody can stop him, we only can track movement of these BTC...
OP, can you give more details about your story. Maybe it can't help to get your money back, but it would be good to educate other users how to avoid such malware. Can you tell where did you kept your BTC - online wallet, desktop wallet or somewhere else? What kind of malware it was?

I had a large sum of Bitcoin (>$100K) stolen by malware earlier this year. The thief advertised the malware on BitcoinTalk, but of course that user has deleted their profile.

Sorry for your loss. However, user can't delete their profile here. Can you share the username though if you still remember it?

I would like to discuss what can be done. I'm trying to bring this to the attention of the admins (sent PMs), but I imagine they get a lot of messages and I fear it may slip through the cracks.

I have the username but prefer to keep it private, the situation is ongoing. Do you know what kind of information admins have on user profiles that may help identify the thief?

It may be possible to find the identity of the thief (that's what I'm attempting now) and report to law enforcement. They have already expressed interest because it was a large theft.

this forum stores IP addresses of the user when he signs up and i believe that also every time a post is made or preview is clicked it stores your IP address with that post. the admin (theymos) is the only one with access as far as i know but he will not share this information with you even if the person was a known scammer or was obviously spreading malware.
you can only try getting a court order and legally demand that information in which case he will share it legally.

p.s. the user didn't delete his profile, it is not possible in this forum. what happened was that because he was spreading malware his account was nuked by a moderator deleting all the posts.

To use malware the scammer must be very smart with computing so it is likely that he will be using a VPN to mask his real IP. Also, as a pro scammer he will probably launder those bitcoins via various DEXs into privacy coins. However, the BCT admins might still be able to help if you open a scam accusation thread

if someone uses some kind of malware it automaticaly doesnt mean that hes "very smart with computing", there are hundreds of programs people can buy (stupid people even) and infect other people with almost no knowledge about computing.

Always use NoScript or other Scriptblockers guys. There is a lot of dirt out there, especially in Pop-up ads

I think nothing can be done in this case as once the hacker hacked the wallet and stole the coins cannot be reversed. As one of the fellow user told it that mostly the hacker uses the VPN service to navigate his IP address so that he cannot be followed through IP address.

That is why it is told that use the wallet in separate computer which you dont use it for regular use. This way you can keep your wallets safely from getting hacked or malware affected.
