 I think that we'll see a small recovery but it's too early to start forming an upwards curve. We're going to sit in the lowest values of this parabola until 2019. Maybe the ETF decision will finally take us higher.

No meaning beyond following themes.. of getting pants taken from several members, and then another member asserting that he would eat his hat, which contributed to thereafter hat momentum leading to likely hat bubble, at some point.  Roach hasn't requested a hat, YET.

There is some truth that with the passage of time, you have gained some credibility with me, in terms of offering these various bitcoin price prediction games - and you have demonstrated a decent amount of follow through, organization and even courtesy in moving the games to their own threads.

Nonetheless, even though I do not have any problem attempting BTC predictions (price or otherwise), especially when predictions can be framed around certain interesting events, such as this "going live" BAKKT situation, I feel quite disinclined to join in on these games when you have not even demonstrated to me that you have more bitcoins or wealth than me or some other legitimate reason for you to be giving away your bitcoins... beyond "foolish" (or quasi-foolish) fun... hahahahahhaha

haha i'm not the cocky type of who owns the most BTC's, perhaps i only have just ONE slashing in pieces to spread out around this place or perhaps i just have a healthy piece maybe bigger maybe smaller than yours, but one thats good enough for me..... more important i didn't lose and did increase a bit on my way of increasing, and with that comes some extra JOY that gives me this kind of impulses (also cause to break boring times) to do this kind of things.

have to say, i'm really wasn't anything of computer guy.... when i had my first pieces of BTC my friend guided me with everything, made a kraken acc,bought me ledgers organized everything,helped with all the rest after.... (when i actually even WON them of him).
he gave me the WO page and first year i only read it, then i made my account.... BUT most crazy of all : the first year i was reading WO and the next few months or so i was on it with my first LISTS hahaha, i even didn't knew there where other threads , i thought WO was the FORUM, coming from a very VERY very far way after i joined the BTCcommunity.
i did learned very much keep on learning and listen to MY MAIN BTCMAN offcourse...... , good to know i have gained credibility, NOW common give me a price

There was a big reversal there back in May. It's tough trying to figure in the time element but that's my best guess if we break up from here.

so, my guess the ATH will be somewhere near $9,627 then price drop again back to ~$7k

This is a nice way to get a test of people's sentiment on the price, because when there's money on the line people will try to be as realistic and accurate as possible.

Perhaps we've bottomed and people is overly pessimistic similar to how a lot of people were expecting sub $100 prices after the 2013 bubble burst.

It gives us a taste of sentiment, but remember, the contest isn't about what the price will be. It's about what the highest price will be, beginning last night. Even if you thought price was heading to $100 right now, it only makes sense to guess ~ $6,430 or higher.

This is not "money on the line" in terms of both sides risking "money" and instead it could be characterized as a gift, perhaps?

A gift might get you closer than a non-monetized poll, but it is not going to get you as close as an actual betting market.  I am not saying that the betting market is going to be correct about the outcome, but it will be correct about showing the sentiment of the betters at the time that the bets were made.
