Be careful though on the power intensive algos. You will draw more current from one connector. If you use your PSU cable without splitter, that should be fine on low power algos. But if you e.g. mine X11 and, even worse, connect one splitter from a 6pin PSU cable to two boards, this wont be a good idea.

And just remember again: Ratinds: 8pin connector 150w, 6pin connector 75w.
[edit]

the 75/100 watt concept only used for gpu because it's utilize the sense pin, i don't think miner use that.

you have to attach all 14 cables, if you want to prevent burned circuit for x11 algo. each of them is certified for 75W, do the math.

funny 2 x 75W = 150W, 7 x 150W = 1050W, how do you think even X11 algo is safe.

It has nothing to do with being for GPU, the two extra pins are ground.

I got my BK-G28 delivered yesterday. I have it up and running on Skein but am only getting 12 GH/s poolside instead of 14 GH/s advertised; tried two different pools so far.

Baikal Miner Web UI is useless for checking actual hash rate and it just seems to display a dummy number per card no matter what. Case in point: one of the hash-boards on my BK-X10 is seemingly dead 2 months after ordering, and the web UI still shows 1.746 Gh/s for the board and 3 boards for 5.238 Gh/s total; just that it shows 0 accepted shares on the faulty board. Pool-side shows around 3 GH/s because of the broken board despite that Baikal Web UI shows 5.238 GH/s

It seems BK-G28 behaves similarly and shows the hardcoded advertised speed of 2.028 Gh/s per board for 14.19Gh/s total no matter what. Either that; or my broken board on my BK-X10 IS still hashing at 1.76 GH/s and it's reporting correctly and just for some reason is getting no shares.
had the same problem mining digibyte over myriad groestl and I solved it by switch from suprnova and blocksfactory where always hash rate sometime vanishes to mining hub, pretty steady hashrate since then.

I have the same problem about false hashrate.

Skein, advertise 14,19 GH/s but :
- suprnova : hashrate at around 12GH and 20% invalide share, those invalid shares show in Baikal UI too
- mining pool hub : hashrate average on 1 H between 11GH and 12GH, 12% invalid share on mining pool Dashboard and 0% invalid on baikal UI

Myr Groest : exactly same problem on suprnova (Verge).

I ll do more tests.

Nota : tests done with at least 5 x G28 unit at the same time

Do you know how to configure miner for zpool and auto algorithm switching? Could never get my BK-X10 working correctly on Zpool so I am wondering if the BK-G28 will have problems...

I'll pull the firmware and try it out in my BK-X10 in the next day or 2..

Doesn't work. You will destroy you PI unit.

Ok to answer to myself :

Invalid shares was the result of either a faulty switch or IP conflict (all my switches being Netgear prosafe). Strange thing, if i add a new cpl plug i have the same colficting problem than whith the supposedly faulty switch …

In regards to Hashrate :
suprnova skein : its more around 13GH/s on average (calculated 2 hours)
zpool skein : i have the same result betwee 12,5 to 13,5 GH (2h with 5 x G28)

So far suprnova payout > by 20% of Zpool skein (paid in DGB), calcultaed on 24h with 5 G28 (not the one i used for tests so with stable hashrate). Luck difference being 5% in advantage to suprnova

has anyone managed to setup the fan speed over the web interface ?
I set it to 50% but it stays at loud as it was before, rpm doesn't change.
100% is ok for x11, but for Myr Groest and skein its not really necessary.

The option is baikal-fan
For Skein i set 10% and it remains below 30 degrees. It is still a little loud.
50% and 100% are almost as loud so i think thats why you hear no difference.

The main problem i have is the average hashrate reported on suprnova for G28 is 20% less than it should be (with high fluctuations it can goes from -40% to -10% averaged on 5 units). Whereas with X10 still on suprnova the average hashrate is 100% as advertised (fluctuations are small 5% with 5 units). this is for skein algo.
Anyone had the same problem ?

Yes Groestl algo i have no problem.
Skein algo tested on suprnova, miningpoolhub and now zpool have all the same problems : hashrate betwenn -30% and -10%. Average on 12h on any of these pools is 11,8GH instead of 14GH

Got mine now.
Assembly quality really poor. Three hasboards of three different miners were put in not straight. They were bent and a capacitor broke. I removed that hasboard so that the miner works with one hashboard less.
Otherwise like the BK-X.

i think problem is the network hashrate on the g28 configurations web page can view the hashrate is 14GH with skein algo and the orther with the same with specifications

I really think 14GH is the capacity of G28 skein.
But there s Something wrong the "dacc" is around 80 to 90% on the G28 with difficulty managed by suprnova. This is too low, in comparison the X10 on same pool is around 99% explaining X10 is at nominal hashrate.

I tried to force difficulty on suprnova skein for the G28, but with no luck so far the best i achived is an average 12,8 GH/s which is still far from 14GH.

My guess is it is pool related. Though i contacted them twice by their support form and on twitter and NO answer since 48H.

Vosk, what are the symptoms of the crash - does the miner lock up entirely, or does it just stop hashing (either on one board or all) ?
