The Whitepapers of various projects essentially set out the core workings of their business model. I was wondering, what protection exists for the ideas in your Whitepaper?
Copyright protection is one obvious solution, but that merely protects against outright plagiarism. It would be very easy to replicate elements of an existing business model without invoking the plagiarism charge.
The more reliable solution would be patent protection. But, how many of the hundreds of ICOs have patent protection for their business model? In fact, it would be invariable that they might be intruding on somebody else's patented claim(s).
So, what is the ground level situation regarding patenting Blockchain stuff?
Any experiences, anecdotes you might care to share are welcome!
