Yes sure the cryptocurrencies or Blockchain technology are accepted by developed countries like USA, Japan, China and more because of they are known about power of blockchain technology it will be eco friendly for our university, and I think India government also going to accept cryptocurrency as a legal very soon.

There is a lot of scope for crypto future in India.

As said by Mahatma Gandhi
"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."

Crypto is at the 4th stage of evolution, Winning is inevitable.
The power of decentralization is huge in itself, its driven by people not by government. People make community, they decide whats best for them.

SO Crypto will not only survive in India but one day it will be the major part of our financial system.

Good things is there are millions of crypto users in India. Guessing this no from the online community among the all media. But we have to consider the current move of Government also. Now Government wants to impose full ban like no buy and sell also. So, In my opinion it's not easy for us to trade in India like we were used to do in past. Now we need to deal like Forex. I'm sure people will use after ban also. But there is no sign that Gov will not ban.

Cryptocurrency - the term itself send vibes to many banking systems and of course tax evaders. Wink
The magic of crypto is that it has no boundaries so talking future of crypto in India will like thinking in a smaller perspective rather than a bigger one.We all are facing some regulations problem which is quite natural, but earlier days also people used to trade and made money dealing these when banking systems were not so developed.Soon people will start realizing and mass adoption will be huge. Many countries have made it legal because we know what crypto can do in terms of development, but unfortunately here people still haven't seen the brighter side and with about 134 crore population only 1% are aware of this.So it will take some time.

The Indian government is interested in Blockchain, and expressly rules out Cryptocurrency. Also, since it runs on tax-payers' money, they want nothing to do with established crypto, especially Ethereum, because that only profits a few "others".

Perhaps they might clone Ethereum, and run it as their own Blockchain; or there might be a permissioned Blockchain like IBM Hyperledger that doesn't need any Cryptocurrency, and where access is restricted.

Already there are tensions between the Government and the RBI over monetary policy, etc with emphasis on total centralisation. To expect them to be welcoming toward decentralised, libertarian (anti-national?!) stuff such as Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency is a delusion.

It's not gonna happen at least over the next decade if not more.  Consider yourself lucky if your possessions of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency are not deemed a  criminal offence.

Nobody for sure knows what is going to happen to Bitcoin future in India.
Indian Govt doesn’t own Bitcoin. It can’t ban Bitcoin. What Indian Govt can do at max is, make INR to BTC conversions and vice versa illegal. And most probably bitcoin will be banned in India.  Otherwise why would India start working on it’s very own block-chain based crypto-currency Lakshmi. Jio indian gaint has also plans for their own JIO COIN
Indian PM has recently said India is ready for #blockchain in Singapore Fintech Festival, but nothing about cryptocurrency. Exchanges like Zebpay has already shutdown.

Is there any future of Cryptocurrency in India ?

Nope! I don't see much hope for cryptos in India under the current backward thinking government. The current government is busy building temples and statues apart from building schools and hospitals. This government is busy changing the names of various places apsrt from looking at the infrastructures of those areas. I don't have any hope for cryptos under such government.

The only hope is that it's not easy to stop cryptos, so people will continue using it for their own benefits.

Current time is not so good for cryptocurrency as govt is too much excited towards crypto in general. Thus unless there is a change in attitude towards crypto things will not be much bright for cryptocurrency

Is there any future of Cryptocurrency in India ?

Yes, ofcourse. Many states are currently planning to use Blockchain technology. Telangana intends to implement blockchain to mitigate the corruption and fraud commonly found in state and national institutions. West Bengal will be using blockchain for verifying legal identities and issuing birth certificate and other documents. Now, Manipur state government is following the other states’ footsteps by sign ing a MoU with Lynked.world.

There is no clarity from Government of India on Crypto usage. With Crypto world already facing headwinds, there is no way Government is going to let go of its control. There has to be some regulations in place (which is not bad for a longer term), but those things are currently far Government’s mind.

Who can forget someone getting arrested in Hyderabad or somewhere a couple of days back for setting up a Crypto ATM.

What my understanding is that it will take at around a decade for it to get into mainstream in India.

During current times, it is better to focus on Blockchain and its real world use cases instead of running after Cryptos.

LOL. Lets set things on fire here. Modi Modi..Yogi Yogii!!

I don't think the current government is backward thinking. The revival of right-wing has been a phenomena for sometime around the world. This government has been actively focussed on re-building the Indian identity but it constantly loses to its own more rabid instincts. At least, PM Modi uses all the right buzzwords.. Wink

Bhai itna negative na ho Roll Eyes crypto kahin na jane wala yahan se. Indian adopt any tech very slowly but when we do, we do for good.  I agreed ki kachra bhi bahut hai but apna hi kachra hai aur yeh hame hi saaf karna hai.

Rahi baat government ki toh yeh government theek lagti hai agar opposition ko dekhoge toh. Imagina Rahul becoming Pm here with Mahagathbandhan (the grand alliance)

Yes, India has a great future of cryptocurrency. As India is a land of diversity most of the people around the world and internal start their business. And due to this only India is known as the land of business too. India has a great future in each and every field. Talking about the cryptocurrency has a vast future in India. Nowadays, No of Users are into the field of Blockchain. Because of security and privacy majors. As the technology evolves and the security system goes tight more and more. It's just the starting.

Indeed! And the best thing that made me believe it that few days before i was travelling by train and i heard a group of average aged peoples were discussing on this topic. The possibility of blockchain technology can help  in decreasing scams in India. Although it will take a long time but i am atleast happy that India is aware of the blockchain thing and not just like only dealing with cryptos in order to make money/profit like share market.

Hello, there is a lot of scope crypto future in india

The scope is unlimited but the thing is that will government give a green signal to the crypto currency. If yes then their will be a lot of opportunities for everyone but if they do not allow it or restrict it then things may be not that good and either people will have to move away from the country and settle where it is legal.
