(As I was really bored and has nothing to do, I came up to do this to keep my self busy at the moment. (Am not fond of searching for plagiarisms but I sometimes do it)
The Statistics were made and displayed here, although it only has the 2017 cap so I just did a little math myself.
Though I'm not good at statistics like the others (DdmrDdmr, Loyce, Vod, etc...) and also you may find it as my first post that contains numbers.

As of this time: (Latest User) 2454269

(Stats were made by the end User:2454231)

YEAR  User ID (First Registration)            User ID (Last Registration)          Total Registration

2009                 1                                           20                                         20

2010                 21                                         3128                                     3108

2011                 3129                                     48828                                   45700

2012                 48829                                   76681                                    27853

2013                 76682                                   208193                                  131512

2014                 208194                                 407682                                  199489

2015                 407683                                 711523                                  303841

2016                 711524                                 936822                                   225299

2017                 936823                                 1557907                                 621085

2018                 1557908                                  ---                                       896324

And with this I came up with the conclusion that the number of registration does also varies on BTC Price everytime it rises/falls. Although as of now Bounties are the common reason why we have a lot of number in registry.

You can use table for organizing those data. It will look better. You can use the following code.
Code:

What have you meant by average 500-1000+? Is it a average? I think it would be a single number when you emntioned the word average.

i'm interested as to whether you can pin point from which country has the biggest population.

yes i think its also bounties that will attract more attention, developers pick this forum because after all this is where traders and investors flock together to talk about crypto projects. there will be more coming this when price of btc starts to climb again.

i'm interested as to whether you can pin point from which country has the biggest population.
Russia- 11.85%
United States- 10.06%
Ukraine- 6.40%
For more info- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5031638.0
Also- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4948780.0

The links are for traffic datas given in Local boards not for the solely population of every country that is a member here.
The output will be same, IMO. Those traffics are based on organic searches.

I didn't expect 2018 to have more registrations than 2017, after the bull run ended. I expect spam/bump bots to be responsible for the largest increase, as spammers create thousands of accounts at a time.

You can use table for organizing those data. It will look better. You can use the following code.

I did use that  but it's kinda wrecked into spaces...
You'll need to use columns with "|" as separators (see example).

The boost of registrations  2018 is massive, likely a combination of hype and quite a lot of bot created accounts. I’ve taken the liberty to break 2018 down per month, in order to see how the correlation between the end of hype and account creation, and the picture is pretty clear:
Code:
Month     FromId           ToId           NewAcc.        Diff1Month            Avg/day
Jan 18    1.557.908        1.782.483        224.575         --                  7.244
Feb 18    1.782.484        1.894.695        112.211         -50,03%             4.008
Mar 18    1.894.696        1.992.339        97.643          -12,98%             3.150
Apr 18    1.992.340        2.079.237        86.897          -11,01%             2.897
May 18    2.079.238        2.171.230        91.992            5,86%             2.967
Jun 18    2.171.231        2.248.912        77.681          -15,56%             2.589
Jul 18    2.248.913        2.318.752        69.839          -10,1%              2.253
Ago 18    2.318.753        2.373.136        54.383          -22,13%             1.754
Sep 18    2.373.137        2.418.498        45.361          -16,59%             1.512
Oct 18    2.418.499        2.454.269        35.770          -21,14%             1.278
Note: October is incomplete, so it is pondered over 28 days to derive the average.

The drop from January to February 2018 was massive, going account registry down by half. Each month since then the drop has been in the 10-20% range, with the exception of May 2018, where there is an increment of 5,86% vs previous month. I think this breakdown helps to get a better idea of the current descending registration trend.

The boost in registrations in 2018 could also have been generated to a degree by the all time high.
The stats are very interesting, like 2009 20 registrations.
I wonder what the mindset was? Did they evey envisage the forum growing to its current level?

I would agree with what you have said the boost in registration even after the bull run in December 2017 is brought not by the price of BTC but because of people exploiting Bitcointalk as a means of earning money. This bump bots and spam bots are the main reason why there are a lot of accounts even if the initial hype of Bitcoin has died down. The drop we are noticing in account registration this year might probably be because of the new merit system, bots being nuked, and the cryptocurrency industry being in the bear market.

<...> Would add this to the info. Thanks as always for the statistics you've been giving us all the time Smiley
You’re welcome to add it to the OP if you wish, charting it or leaving as a table. The interesting thing about the 2018 breakdown is that it avoids the impression that the trend is a rising one, when in fact since February 2018 the trend is descending quite sharply (although coming from a very strong base). Strange that May is a small positive spike amidst the other months (possibly a bot spike there).
