Ico which is initial coin offering. This is an avenue where by new altcoin or something existing altcoins create awareness to possible investors. In 2017 we saw a Hugh ico explosion every coin was almost doing well no matter how shitty the coin was it would raise a nice figure. Backed by a written white paper and road map and the decentralization of cryptocurrency which makes it not regulated to fulfill any of those content on the white paper it would still raise numbers in investment. With all the opportunities a decentralized ico offers it's not surprising that a greater percentage on ico this days are pure scams.
Scam icos right now has the has rising defrauding both the experienced and newbies.

How do you detect a scam ico
Detecting a scam ico has gone beyond checking the white paper, road map or the team behind the project.

*One good way to detect a scam ico is the capital owned by the project. Most scam ico are not backed up by substantial capital they where just established to prey on individuals capital and elope. So it's important to know the capital backing of an ico.

*technical support... Most scam ico has no future aspirations they just want to defraud as quick as they can so they don't take much time to work on there technology. Once you observe constant issue with there site or just the incapability of there Devs then there is a possibility it might just be a scam ico

*unrealistic idea.. A fraud ico Will always want to get your interest the best way they can. Once you going through an white paper that's is filled with mouth watering ideas am not saying that good project can't have a good idea just that you check the comparing time allocation and what the project hopes to achieve. Once you have been in the cryptocurrency world for a while you should no an unrealistic idea.

*constantly missing there road map..  Most scam ico never meet up with there road map and it is constantly updated. They have nothing to achieve so they try to buy time to get more investors in.

The truth is that scam ico Will always be around it's just left to us to be observant and take up security measures. Never be quick to invest because of fear of missing out.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

How to prevent ICO scams:Never invest in an ICO project

...

Unfortunately, that same advice has prevented many people from becoming millonaires with the ICOs of Ethereum, Stellar, Wabi, ... and so many other. Just keeping repeating the same thing does not make it true.

Yeah we know there are many scam ICOs that exist but never forget that most successful altcoins out there comes from ICO. My point is just there are still legit and there are still hidden gems out there that you need to find. But since the market is down right now, its better to wait them on exchanges and buy. I never heard ICO projects right now that maintain their ICO price on exchanges.

Such lists like yours are posted periodically. None of the points in those lists will prevent you from getting scamed if the scamers are taking their attempt serious.
Take a look at savedroid. The project would have passed every single point on your list.

The general influx of scam into the cryptocurrency system all raise the question of should the be cryptocurrency internal regulations. The fact that any one can just device a means to scam individuals under the cover of initial coin offering is quite frustrating. There should be discussion on ways to tackle this menace
