It is quite straightforward to induce in healthy individuals the perceptual illusion that an object or fake body part is part of their own body—a body ownership illusion—illustrating the surprising plasticity of the brain's body representation.
Changes can occur in cognitive processing and specifically, executive functioning under virtual reality.
With this in mind, do you think putting yourselves virtually into someone else's "shoes" be beneficial for yourself? Would you try it as a form of treatment or something similar?
