A guy that I talk to in another forum has been involved in an auto-accident. He was the passenger in a new Mustang GT350, and the car was travelling at around 120mph. I've just tried to fire up a page to read about the car, and I got the unavailable message in my browser. The page is.

I assume that this is the result of the new European Union anti free speech laws, and the EU hasn't realised that we are leaving them because of these stupid laws ( amongst other things ). Can somebody explain what is politically incorrect about a car review? Hopefully Donald Trump will take some sort of action, as these restrictions will damage American exports.

I suspect it is probably due to the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Given the extensive new requirements for websites to protect the privacy of EU citizens, some website that don't want to comply or can't guarantee all their third party content will comply have simply chosen to block EU citizens.

You can easily bypass it with a VPN, or even more simply, using a US based internet archive site to archive the page and then read it that way. I've done that for you here: https://archive.is/zBSGV

Thanks for the archive, and I read the first couple of pages. The new colour for this year amused me, it is "lead foot grey". I may play with a bit of programming on my server to create a relay page, anything to counter the useless chains of the EU.

I found another instance of what appears to be the new religious and political correctness. I bought a pack of "hot cross buns" in Asda (Walmart) yesterday. The aren't hot, they don't have a cross, and it isn't Easter. Why didn't they just call them spiced currant buns?

It may also be that the website has geo-blocked the EU since large parts of Europe are having increasing restrictions against gas guzzlers.

Some countries like the Netherlands are working towards exclusively electric vehicles.

It may just be that you are not in their target market - or that the supplier of the review does not have agency rights in your geographic location.

I did a little test with a VPN.

UK, Netherlands, Germany, Norway and Russia all blocked

South Africa, Singapore, Australia all fine.

I'm in England - we buy loads of stuff from all over the world. We have to since our unicorn politicians have been exporting our industry since 1970.

Remember - Unicorns are not mythical creatures spraying stardust, but are a rather nasty creation by man, and were designed to lead wild, and free spirited horses into captivity.
