Doubt it and would not recommend it either.
This is a whole new wallet and therefore, will not work with previous versions.

This means your coin should be in an exchange, namely BitTrex to handle the switch.

This happens a lot when coins dramatically change algorithms.

Does anyone know how the fork works?
Can i Import my wallet.dat into new Wallet?
I installed new Wallet and Override my 17373gb blockchain and dont want to Download again :O

Don't panic!!!

.....
Unless the chain has been reset, then you don't need to download the whole chain.
in essence, there will be two coins but the former will be destroyed so to say.
It is a completely new wallet, not compatible with the former one.

.....

All the best.

Sry but im new to crypto, and its my first fork Cheesy
After fork i just update my wallet, it will override the blockchain in %appdata%\Hempcoin with the new one and also adds me the new coin?  right? Undecided

SWAP, ok listen: All you have to do is deposit ALL you THC to Bittrex by the 19th, then Bittrex will suspend trading for THC. THEN Bittrex will do a 1:1 swap to the new token for each address. THEN if you want them off bittrex download the new wallet and withdraw them. Simple as that.

i though all the time the swap would be done through the wallet AND bittrex...

Replied.

Note to anyone else: If you don't want to use BitTrex to handle the swap, when the developers recommends all holders & wallet operators to do so, if you refuse to do as they ask you, don't complain if you lose your coin or something bad happens.  I am not the most technical guy out there but I know how use wallets, do updates, some coin splits I can do to but I am also smart enough to know when I am in over my head and when I should let the experts handle the more technical stuff.  Plus, if the exchange messes up, you will be compensated... if you screw up, you're up Schitt's Creek without a paddle.  Your only other options is hiring a professional; which you are still not guaranteed anything and you still have to pay the guy even if he screws up.

If you are a wallet operator, holding coin for others and lack the skill, then that is still your problem.

By 2020, no one will be able to do anything crypto without KYC, so either do it or find another occupation.
It is already becoming a thing, I had to do it a few times even just to keep selling coin, not even buying.
Every reputable exchange I deal with, requires it and I don't deal with shady outfits anymore.

Sorry if this sounds harsh but it is what it is... step up for yourself or step aside for those who do.

If it works via dumping and importing private keys in the new wallet, then all the power to you.
Most of the time. this is how it works... take the private key from the now defunct (sometimes) coin and import it in the new wallet.
It works like this most of the time but this is going from PoS to PoS/MN, not a light move by any means.
Not like BTC going to BCH, there wasn't much of a technological shift with this.
Same with ETH/ETC, not much of a technological shift; only tweaks.

This is much more complex than BTC going to BCH... I am sure many know more than I do about this.
However, I always advocate for the simplest solution possible.
Devs also didn't state that importing private keys would work... so I assume it won't.

Personally, I just prefer playing it safe and don't fear my government at all.

HempCoin still has many followers. Why not put HempCoin in more exchanges, so that more people will invest in it.

after the junction with the securities will go to 3000-5000 SAT . now many do not understand and are afraid. after the fork coins will be actively bought and saved on the main node. then we will see a strong growth. after all, 50,000 coins is a lot. someone will buy and 100 000 THC at the site, which will create a deficit. and many others just burn their coins without sending them to exchange, I bought thc 800 sat and  720. this is the last price I think is low.

Sorry first post and I'm after help trying to move THC from a paper wallet!

Coins are showing on the blockchain explorer.

I've downloaded the Hempcoin wallet and synced the blockchain.

importprivkey xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

My public key is now showing as a receive key but the wallet is still empty.

Have tried dumpprivkey too.

I really need to get these moved to Bittrex; shouldn't have left it to the last minute!

Any ideas?

Would someone like to sum up in a few paragraphs what happened to Hempcoin from 2014 to 2018? Every coin should have its history written down somewhere...
