by the way,  hemp doesnt contain THC, or very minimal amount,   just saying,   it seems they would have addressed that before choosing the ticker?   perhaps they did,  ,  CBD or HEMP would have been more appropriate symbol representation for a crypto called HEMPCOIN,   hope their business model is less careless  

It was marketed in the beginning as (T)the (H)hemp (C)coin... hence THC 

I admit it is indeed a bit misleading as a thought the same thing when I first came across this coin.

thats a clever little twist with the name using the acronym THC  than,  Bravo!   i was always annoyed by the coin "octanox" because of their poor choice that  was a six sided symbol which is a hexagon, infact,  the mishap bothered me so much it  prevented me from investing in the ICO in 2017 , fortunately for me, cuz they're NOWHERE to be found anymore of course!,      i figure if they cant even get the details of a symbol correct how possibly can they run an actual business?

This is our 1 big day to grow the community. Other cryptocoins don't get this chance. This special day is one of the main reasons why The Hempcoin has had long term success.

Bittrex is due for a massive improvement to their system so I hope Bittrex will work with $CAD (& 100+ more currencies!!!) soon. $THC is doing volume in the mid-range of coins on bittrex. Quite an impressive performance so far into this epic bear market. Many other coins are completely dead, hacked or up for possible delistings. Great job getting switched to masternodes even tho it was late!

THC has this special power to grow better than other coins. We need to get some communities (online & outside) growing like how Bitcoin used to do. We need ATMs / money changers. & it would be extra nice if someone(s) could build an open source DApp! I'm working on a hempcoin dapp but decentralized mapping is still a problem that no one has solved yet, so let me know if you hear of a decentralized mapping solution.

Once bittrex finishes their upgrade (I'm not sure when... they seem slower than hempcoin at upgrading LOL) we should be able to easily have ATMs for hempcoin as bittrex will support many different fiat currencies.

i have a back up of the wallet.dat but i'm running a masternode too

happend to me before. I just deleted my wallet (i was backed up of course wallet.dat) reinstalled a fresh copy, fired it up, made sure it ran fine then shut down and replaced the wallet.dat, relaunched and it works fine, I think it may have had to re-sync icr.

did you have a masternode running in that wallet too ? or it was only a wallet with funds ? i wonder if i have to back up other things like masternode.conf ?
