are the fees taken out already so when I an amount with my Electrum wallet, does the receiver get exactly what I send? thanks!

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

As long as you set the exact amount to be sent and set the exact fee using the dynamic slider then it will be. Be sure that you have enough balance on your electrum to cover the fee and the amount to be sent or else you will get an error "Not enough Funds"



With the example above, you will send a total of 0.0101 BTC, and the 0.01 BTC will be sent to the receiver. Make sure that you have at least 0.0102 BTC in your wallet.
