A few hours ago, the now 23 year old daughter of a Texas family law judge posted a video on youtube of her parents beating the crap out of her in 2004.  She then made a post on reddit linking to that video.  The response on reddit, 4 chan and SomethingAwful has been enormous and the retribution swift.  It will end this guy's career and deservedly so.

A lot of shitty things happen online, but every now and then something good comes out of people placing their trust in perfect strangers.  This is one of those times.  I hope that the internet shitstorm which has descended on this guy ends his career at the very least.

I'd strongly recommend not watching the video.

Here are links to the original reddit thread and the SA thread (people describe what's on the tape in this thread for those who can't bear to watch it).  4 chan's server seems to have gone down so I'll edit the link to /b/ in when it comes back up.

Two ironic twists in this tale are that his daughter got the beating for using the internet to download pirated music and games and that in his past court rulings he has refused to consider claims of child abuse in the absence of video evidence.

Some quotes from the video.

Quote from: asshole judge who's going down and his wife
"Turn over like a 16 year old and take it!"

"Take it like a grown woman"

"lay down or I'll spank you on your fucking face"

"I didn't get a lick in on her"

"Roll over"

"Giv'er some more, let her have it"

"I'm gonna get another one [belt]"

"Get on your stomach or I'm gonna start beating you again"

"I should beat you into submission"

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

How is it an ironic twist that she had downloaded music?

What is ironic about her having downloaded music?

The irony is that she's punishing him by using the internet to expose his illegal acts - the same medium she was punished for using to commit a far more minor transgression of the law.

At least he'll almost certainly never be in a position to rule on another child abuse case again.

No-one realised it at the time the story broke, but as well as being a redditer, Hillary is also a goon.  She's in the SA thread talking about it all now.

For better or worse, Fox News has contacted Hillary.  That means the story is unlikely to be ignored by other media outlets.

Wow. Every time the "I'm the person the OP was talking about" thing happens on SA, it's always someone I've never heard of, but I've seen her posting a ton of times in threads on other subjects.

For anyone who doesn't want to wade through a bunch of pages of predictable (but justified) rage, she jumps in on page 11. Thanks for the heads-up, repentance. I was about to quit reading on page 7 or 8 when I saw your post here.
