Price is not very important for me, but if bigger price means more popular/usable Bitcoin then definitively.

Kind of think that it's the other way around.  That the more useable BTC becomes the more valuable it will be.
A little scared that over 60% of the coins in circulation have NEVER been used.  That could adversely effect the price of the BTC
if a larger number of these coins are released into the market at one time.

BTC price will not rise to $1000 any time soon. Some people think it will go up to $10000 by end of this year (2014). I can guarantee you that it won't happen. Price will remain around $300-$600 all through 2014. Next year, however, will be a different story.

So much frustration in the air and all the negative vibes that follows, Jesus flying fuck man, chill!

Look, always consider the money you spend on bitcoin for lost, no one knows the future and all that jazz. But try to look at the whole thing a bit objectively, China was by large behind the last trip to the moon, and when/if the ban is confirmed bitcoin will go down even further, and when it does I will be standing ready with fiat to burn!  Grin

As already said so many times before, is bitcoin broken? NO! Is wall Street knocking on the door? YES!

Let me guess: you bought at 1000 dollars?

I'm just very optimistic about the whole thing... I remember lurking on this forum a few years ago and boy was that a gloomy experience - so much more negativity towards the idea that bitcoin would ever be anything but obscure geeky marbles. And on top of that NO ONE in the real world knew about bitcoin or could see any potential in it at all even if you tried to explain the concept, even tech people would totally dismiss it. Now everybody and his dog has at least heard about it, and the big guys are paying attention. I can't for the love of god see why I shouldn't be bullish in the long run... And the answer to your question is no, but down the road I'm sure I wouldn't regret it even if i did.

Your thoughts are based in some data or are only guesses? If it is the first option can you share?

I think it'll require the dust to settle re Gox and China and a new dawn of proper professionals opening up some services. Perhaps late summer towards autumn or so.

I think that the price will go high but this only when bitcoin will be more and more propagated. This is the only fact that made me to tell that the price will go very high. But to tell that this year will remain in this level (and with guaranties) and after one year will go high this seems a little speculative to me. If are not data about this statement....

If you are following the trends then yes bitcoin will see 1,000 again in the near future and even go higher. I think that people need to relax and stay calm. Has bitcoin done anyone wrong yet?

What is Bitcoin actually worth at this moment in time, with no speculation about future events factored into the price?

The Bitcoin protocol is worth every single penny of the global $1.5 trillion payment processing fee business it would replace.
