I am using Ubuntu on WSL  Windows 10

I have been doing some pool and solo mining for  Monero, Aeon and Ryo

1) I have used xmr-stak directly to the pool
2) I have used xmr-stak to monero-stratum  to the daemon-rpc, solo
4) I have used xmr-stak to cryptonote-nodejs-pool to the daemon and wallet-rpc, solo

What I would like to do is use the miner to mine directly to  the daemon rpc ....It must have been done

I understand the connection to be something like

myminer -o daemon+tcp://host:port/?  -u myaddress -p x

xmr-stak does not work . What current miners will allow me to solo mine in the way

I have seen ccminer mentioned and wolfs ?? miner which seems to be somewhat out of date?
I have a set of AMD graphics cards so ccminer, although proving the point,  only utilizes CPU yes?

Is this a dying art or is somebody out there  able to give me a list of miners,  before I start downloading and wasting my time,

Please .. no comments about solo mining not being economical ..its not the question

Thanks in anticipation
