I have had an offer to sell my BTC via escrowyourcoins.com.

The company only started in September, so I am a bit wary.

Has anybody had any experience with the site?

Best regards,

WW

What payment method? I would go with a more trusted and established website. If the buyer side wants to strictly use that website, I would stay away. Lots of website-based scams going around, if you don't trust the person, don't trust the person's website

If I wanted to sell a larger amount of BTC (e.g. 35) , what would be the best way?

Would an escrow service offer the required security?

Best regards,

W.

Very honestly, the best security you can have for your funds while transacting is by using one of the trusted escrows on Bitcointalk.
Why go on an unknown and fishy escrow website ?

The site mentioned in OP is definitely not to be trusted. I'd much prefer reputable Bitcointalk escrow (listed here) than any website claiming as escrow. You can get a better picture of why those guys become recommended escrow here. They have become a member here for years, escrowing thousand of BTC, some of them are not totally anonymous, and there's one (OgNasty) that has been escrowing the forum's treasury worth of 500 BTC for several years.

Among all the newbie scammers above there tending to be the escrow for such amount

better follow this suggestion yet that list give out the most reputable escrows on this forum. This is more trusted than risking out to make tx with newly so-called escrow site.

I am currently still negotiating, but the trader is still insisting on using a shady escrow website.

If you are willing to trade through one of the trusted escrow agents (e.g. OgNasty), then we should be able to work out a deal.

It would require a transfer in USD to a US bank. If that is OK then we can work something out.

We could talk, I'd have to know more about the price and what's in it for me. PM me

If the buyer insists on a particular escrow website, it is most certainly a scam, best avoid. It is either they control the website or they are in cahoots with the owners of the website. A reasonable transfer would be flexible and allow for both parties to decide on which escrows to use.
