First of all, there are lots of people who have dark thought, enjoy aggressive or violent entertainment..
Second, VR is a place of endless possibilities.. where you can fantasize about basically anything.
Will VR be a good option to satisfy the needs of some individuals without harming others?

I would prefer lucid dreaming rather than the current VR technology we have right now.

Lucid dreaming feels more realistic than your VR. You can also fantasize about anything without hurting someone, even your own wallet.

Normally, if given a choice to do something and nothing, I choose to do nothing.
But I will do something if it helps someone else to do nothing.
I'd work all night if it meant nothing got done.

I think so. VR could serve as a safe place for them to unleash their thoughts and aggressions without harming others or themselves. And who knows? The escape might even serve as rehabilitation for them.

VR is a great tool that has a lot of potential to be very useful for all of us. I can totally see it being used as a way to release anger and hidden emotions, but I don't know if it's enough to make someone forget about it afterwards. I do believe though that aside from entertainment purposes, virtual reality can also be used in other things, like education and training, as well as surgery.

This. It may be a good way to relieve one`s emotions and stress, nothing wrong with it.
As for the wish to unleash aggression that may cause hurting other people, I believe it`s too close to a medical condition and should be treated by a specialist.

I agree. But if someone is thinking about intentionally harming others, then VR may not be good idea because it just might push them even more to enact the thing in real life. But if it's only to unleash emotions because you're pissed at your boss or colleague then VR is definitely the way to go, just like other video games.

First of all, yes, it could help people to enjoy or practice whatever beliefs or violent entertainment one might have. It's a virtual space, so, definitely not harming anyone.
Second, since these group of people may have their own ideas or philosophies, a separate virtual space will be needed, or rather they can create their own virtual space to do whatever they want. I believe people who share the same ideas will group together and have fun in their virtual space without literally harming anyone or themselves.

Yes it could be an outlet but it could also potentially make unusual behaviors an accepted habit. Once people act on these behaviors on the regular, they could carry such behaviors into everyday life.

I do think the benefits outweigh the negatives, though.

Just recently bought a VR Glasses, spent half of his salary.
Conclusion: I do not regret it, it is the most worthy and good purchase in my life

Dark thought as in harmful to others? Maybe it's an outlet where they can sort of satisfy their need for these sort of activities without consequences. In that sense it's better to keep them there than on the streets.
