Largest Japanese Mitsubishi UFJ bank signs a memo of understanding with Brazilian banking giant to trial the Ripple platform for cross-border payments

On Friday, the MUFG Bank, the major banking division of Mitsubishi Financial Group (MUFG), publicly reported that it had signed a Memo of Understanding with one of the major Brazilian banks, Banco Bradesco. The goal is to join efforts in creating a new payment system based on the Ripple platform that would work between their countries.

Background of the partners

The MUFG Bank is the biggest player in Japan in this field. The parent company, MUFG, was founded nearly 400 years ago in Tokyo and is one of the major units of the Mitsubishi Group.

Its Brazilian partner in this deal, Banco Bradesco, was set up in the early 1940s and is based in Osasco, the São Paulo administrative area.

Both banks are going to trial RippleNet, the payment system designed to be used globally between banks for transactions.

Collaboration dates back to last century

The press release issued by MUFG states that the business connections between the Mitsubishi Bank and Bradesco were established as early as in 1973, when the Japanese partner made a large investment in the Brazilian bank. In 2017, this collaboration was renewed, and now the banks plan to extend it further.

The Ripple community on YouTube responded well to the news, showing a wave of enthusiasm.

Good news, nice to know that a Brazilian bank is supporting our dear technology, the opposite of sabotaging any information or evolution of the use of btc or blockchain, I hope that in the future banks will learn that blockchain has come to revolutionize the market!

Why the Japanese and the Brazilian bank choose ripple? What's the main advantage of ripple, compared with all the other altcoins or even bitcoin? Is it because it's cheap? Why the ripple altcoin is so well "adopted" amongst big corporations and banks?I'm not familiar with ripple at all,so can anyone please explain?l

These financial institutions don't want to be left behind by this recent technology, a blockchain application. In case blockchain flourish in the near future, businesses that reject this today might have caught napping today. So, to prepare for the future, they need to try Ripple platform to see what adjustment they can made.or what do they expect in the future. Trials show warm welcome on the technology.

BIG WINNER!

Ripple holders are surely happy with the recent turn of events. Through these trials, ripple platform can be tested thoroughly by these institutions. This shows how established institutions welcoming the blockchain technology rather than rejecting it.

Ripple has been really working to involve banks and corporations into crypto, that has been their only goal, just make sure to get out there and get people with money to be interested in crypto but more importantly ripple.

I understand they want to be a great company and they want their out there and quickest way is to get famous people and rich folks to talk about it because than it will trickle down quicker but I honestly don't think they can do any better than Ashton Kutcher donating 4 million of ripples money to Ellen on a tv show, that is the highest type of advertisement you can make that will reach to everyone, you have one celebrity out there promoting it, the other celebrity crying with joy on the 4 million and you have the name ripple written GIANTly at the back.

RippleNe can provide high cross-border payment speed!
Ripple is a good company that solves the problem of the bank's cross-border payment industry, but the XRP coin has little to do with Ripple itself!

In recent years, more and more people have heard that Ripple agreed with someone that he would use it somewhere. This is a very big PR campaign. I am now thinking about buying a Ripple

ripple is indeed growing a lot even though there are some people who disagree with ripple, because it is semi-decentralized he said. but in its development, it actually 3rd ranks
