power supply help

hi can anyone help me i am going to move all of my gpu to ASRock H81 Pro BTC Intel LGA1150. i have 5 270x and 1 280x i was wondering how much power i would need for them

270x = 180-230w
280x = 250-320w

4 270x + 1 280x have a range of 970-1240w for the cards alone. Then you need some juice for the cpu and motherboard.

If you get a 1200w, I suggest getting a killawatt and add 3 of the cards and test. Then add 4 and 5 if you have the juice.

get a PSU with a 14 gauge cord,  most household sockets in the US at least are 15 amps

Here i could plug my psu on a 127 volts or 220 volts. I plugged my PSU on the 220v so, at the same power, it uses a lower amps, and the cable could handle with no trouble.

You can undervolt these cards on the bios, to run stable and using less power. Optimize it and your 1200w psu should be enough. Get a clamp amp meter or a power meter to see how it goes. Check your PSU % rate too, and leave at least 100W for the motherboard, cpu, memory, hdd,..

thanks for the help everyone, i brought 2 of these yesterday http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=899123&CatId=1079. i
i have 750 watt in my main rig i can always switch out if i need to. can i use 2 psu on one computer with different watts? i think i may just put my 5 270x on this build and the 280x in my rig i am using now

edit: looking at the psu now they look cheap but has good reviews..
