There will be no new coin from ethereum fork, remember the latest fork of ethereum doesn't generate a new coin. You should search the latest news about that. It seems like you have been missing it. as far as i know this update will focus to improve the protocol in ethereum platfotm. It's not about issued a new token.

Ethereum is not forking to a new coin! this fork is like an upgrade and i don't think there will be any renaming fork to keep the original chain (although it is possible) in which case the price is only changing based on how hyped up this fork is.
there is a lot of risks with hardforks like this so logically there should be a price drop prior to this fork because wise people who know better should technically stay away. but that is not how the pump and dump market works. people rarely care about anything technical so we may see a pump if pumpers choose to pump it!!!

Whether there's a fork or not, if you believe ethereum then you should start buying. The price is unstable and there's no assurance if the price would be up soon but I'm holding it until now.
