The Story

For a few years now, I have been collecting (poker) card decks. I love the variety of artworks and ideas put into these projects. It has always been on the back of my mind to someday create my own card game.
A few months ago I finally started this project. As of today it is about 60% done.

Yesterday my first preview cards arrived, so I decided to go public with this project.


Idea

Simply having a game and nice collectible item, making for a great gift to get people more interested in different cryptocurrencies.
Basic education + fun for crypto veterans + subjective statements that hopefully make you (or your friends, relatives, neighbors etc.) want to investigate, discuss, research, create things.
You could probably call this an edutainment product, even though I am not a big fan of that word.  


Updates
-2019-01-13: All decks arrived. Very very happy as how they turned out. Shipping to start this week. Updated photos.

-2018-12-22: Still waiting on the confirmation that the final printing stage is completed, will keep you posted. Prices updated as explained. Front box design slightly altered due to limitations in silver-emboss printing.

-2018-12-15: Many readjustemnts to the final box design completed. All cards are finished. All 256 decks now in final print stage. To be finished and ready for delivery in approx 5 - 12 days.

-2018-11-30: Finished a few more cards. 2nd batch of preview-cards + box arrived. Now focusing on getting the last cards finished, making minor improvements and having a final consultation with the printing service.

-2018-11-27: 2nd batch of preview boxes scheduled to arrive between 30th of November to 6th of December. Completed cards: NEM, GBYTE, Stellar

-2018-11-22: Added digital preview of the card box front.

- 2018-11-20:
A) Added discounts for multi-purchases of 6 decks or more, up to 16% off (25 or more decks)
B) Added detailed shipping price info (could be subject to slight changes, depending on the wight of the decks, I am calculating with a weight of max. 240 g / deck right now)

- 2018-11-19:
A) finished the front design of the box, I am pretty happy with the result
B) confirmed engraving AND gold (or silber, will evaluate what may look better soon) lining on the box!
C) renaming to CRYPTO COSMOS confirmed | two reasons: 1. Crypto mind is used for several website and social media, crypto cosmos isn not. 2. It represents the game and the graphic theme pretty well.
D) funding now open, will sent out payment requests soon. Make sure to only use address in OP. Also accepting some altcoins, get in touch if interested.
E) ordered two new preview-decks to evaluate: 1. box design, 2. look of the overhauled cards + look of the new cards, 3. check which version of graphics look best when printed: 1200 DPI (it's the original quality all my project files have), 600 DPI, 300 DPI and 300 DPI with additional sharpening, 4. check if linen cards or heavy-special paper cards look+feel better

- 2018-11-17: Adjustments for better readability to all cards done. Also completed new cards. 21 finished. 5 wip, rest to be finished within 2 - 3 weeks. Added another preview pic.

- 2018-11-15: currently adjusting text-sizing and some layouts for better text-readability. 7 lines of info reduced to 6 for that reason

- 2018-11-14: included payment info

- 2018-11-13: created ANN thread


The Deck

- ~32 - 40 cards total
- ~30 cryptocurrencies
   > 7 6 lines of info text about each crypto-project /currency/asset
   > 7 different stats to compete with your opponents: scam factor, decentralization, technology, style, originality, price development, established since
   > one line of explanation to each stat
- ~5 specials:
   > EXIT SCAM: increases your scam rating
   > 51% ATTACK: decreases opponents decentralization rating
   > REBRANDING: increases your style rating
   > VITALIK BUTERIN: increases your technology rating
   > WHALE ATTACK: increase your price rating or decrease your opponents prize rating
   > HACKER [your name*] ATTACK: select one of your opponents ratings and replace it with one of your ratings or vis versa
- 1 DISCLAIMER and GAME RULES card

* you can become part of the game, an auction will be held to include your name in the game.
Some basic rules apply, such as no offensive language and wordlength restriction.

- one card, individually stamped and numbered for each deck + sticker on the box with deck number and stamp

- The game will be released as a limited edition. Depending on interest only 128 or 256 decks will be printed.
- I try to go for maximum production value and have an engraved, gold-foil card box with a unique design. This increases price but imho is worth it as this is intended as a low-edition card game with collectible value.
