Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

All peole who been part of crypto worldwide hopes for the price surge to come, and all of those expectations really create  more determinations to continue their journey. BTC will always remain stronger despite of the bashing and bad speculations, we still support the growing economy. Many adaptations raising over and as you will do more research about that, it won't fail but rather surprise you in the future

People who expect a bull run in 2018 is just unreasonable. We just had mega bull run last year. Building a momentum for such bull run takes time. Most people don't expect for another bull run this year, they just hope that the correction won't bring Bitcoin to previous level.

I'm actually quite surprised that Bitcoin didn't break $6K this year.

Every year market was moving right manner. But this year many unexpectable issues are created in the market. So many peoples are afraid our investment and it is reflected in total market.
All the peoples are says it will reach 10k USD in end of the year so wait and see how it will move in the next month. This year I didn't say anything in Bitcoin prediction.

This is going to be an expectation vs reality, so many good predictions this year and yet bitcoin remains the same. We travel far just to reach this kind of level, and maybe there is really no bull run for now but it doesn’t mean bitcoin will not pump again. Good things will happen unexpectedly, let’s continue to support bitcoin and slowly we will rise again.

A whole year correction is very normal, especially in stock market and maybe bitcoin is just like a normal market now. Hype no more as many people are now educated enough to deal with bitcoin.

That's an honest opinion regarding the 2018 market. Analyzing on where this year is going has been judged already by most. There's no bull run for this year and its slowing fading and no light found on it. Give all the bulls on 2019, this year isn't the worst but its a year of preparation and stocking up.

I think no one really expects Bitcoin price to rise within the rest of the year anymore. In fact, some people aren't still sure that the price has already bottomed out. In my opinion, there will be some months of accumulation before any significative move to happen.

I agree. I think there's still a chance that we might see another rally around december once Bakkt arrives, still, the surge in the price won't be as big as the one from last year, but it'll be some much needed upward movement after a long period of accumulation.

If there's actually a surge in price before the end of the year, it'll be interesting to see if there's enough momentum in the market to push the price up so that we can test the 5-figure marks.

sometimes, the fall of fiat and the collapse of stock market will result into gains in crypto.  everyone will take their funds out of stock market and exchange their fiats to crypto.  but the recent woes in crypto world, like hacking and security concerns and price manipulations, are hindering these people into investing to cryptos.  the whole crypto must let the people fee secured and groups must do more in alerting people regarding hacking and scamming activities.

I think so too, it is very difficult to reach ATH and that will not happen again at the end of the year or earlier this year. BTC remains stable in the range of $ 6k - $ 7k, indeed there are many people who hope the bull run will come soon, but it seems not and what usually comes is just a pump.

BTC and the market will go back to old highs and higher but that looks more likely to happen in 2019 now. HODL is the name of the game for now.

It is now expected that BTC will increase the price, but the exact time is unknown, so I think we should wait patiently until 2019, the market will soon recover at that time is the opportunity. Give us success.

And maybe the surge will be less, here the main question is to break the bitcoin level 7k by the end of the year or it will be next year.

The more that we are thinking, hoping. wishing and even praying for that elusive BULL RUN the more it is running away from us. The probability of a bull run this year is now getting dimmer and dimmer and it looks as if we might as well be thinking of the 2019 when it can possibly happen (even then in my opinion I think 2019 is just another waiting year). No one can really know for sure when can all the positive predictions about Bitcoin and the whole crypto market be coming. So what we could do is just to wait and wait and wait...

Many people are hoping for a bull run year, but no one can predict this. It's still long to get a bull run because this year won't happen, it's better to keep monitoring the market and trade like normal so that you don't think about bull run too much.

Currently I still hope that BTC will increase, in my opinion, we should wait until the end of 2019, the price of coin will be able to rise so that we will not be late, if sold now Low prices will be more difficult. so sorry for us.

it is not limbo it is accumulation phase. and if you take a look at the market you can clearly see that the whales accumulators are hard at work buying bitcoin at the  current price and keeping it from rising up. each time they place sell orders on top to prevent the rise for the time being. and that is all pointing to a signal for the upcoming rise.

We're definitely at the accumulation phase at the moment and with all the news filtering into the space, just like this one

We might as well be looking out for a bull run in 2019

I see two options for the development of growth.
1) Uniform increase.
2)A sharp break down and even faster up.
It is unlikely that we will sink even lower.
