Hi people!
Help solve the problem. rig 4x7950 does not work, the problem is this; not enough GPU memory to place DAG, you cannot mine this coin with this GPU.
 Virtual memory 16 + gb. ddr2 4gb. Claymore's Dual Ethereum + Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal/Blake2s/Keccak AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner 11.9.
It all began with the era of 222.  Then I changed the value in the parameter -eres to 1. (The default was 2) Work resumed. Now the era of 223 has come and again I had to change -eres but by 0. What should I do? Is gpu 7950 time already out? But for others it works fine, but I can not. The epoch of 224 will come and I will have nowhere to reduce it. What to do? Help!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

How much memory does each card have? The issue with day is that if it surpasses your card, the card is out. At least for that ETH based coin. See here for the current DaG size of ETH and other coins. If not for ethereum, you should be able to use claymore's dusl miner to dual mine other coins based ln DAG.

The 7950's are 3GB cards, and although the DAG has still not exceeded 3GB you can no longer mine with 3GB cards on windows because windows reserves a part of your GPU memory.
Switch to any linux based distro to continue mining for another 6 months untill the DAG eventually increases to 3GB.

Yep its a windows 10 thing.  Taken from Claymores post:

"For all 2GB cards and 3GB cards in Windows10 (they cannot mine ETH/ETC anymore) devfee is 0%, so on these cards you can mine all ETH forks without devfee, this miner is completely free in this case."

Try Perfectmine.io. It has its own Linux based OS.
And your rig with 7950 cards can still mine ETH and ETC.
Follow the tutorial link on how to start.

Or simpleminer, which is awesome. You'll wonder why you bothered with Windows at all!

You shouldn't be mining ETH with any Tahiti based GPUs like the Radeon 7950 7970 280X.

The last time people mined ETH with a 280X was before ZEC was launched back in Nov 2016. Since then the DAG slowed down ETH and last I heard it would hash a little over 10Mhs and consume large amounts of power.

Go mine XMR V8 with your 7950 and you should get 500-550 H/s, not much but your GPU will only use about 120 Watts or so.

The bad thing is that with Windows 10 you cannot mine anymore with 3 GB cards but you can in Windows 7 and Linux as it has been suggested.

With these cards that are becoming obsolete for mining Ethereum you can try mining new coins and try to maximize your returns, some new coons become famous soon enough but this is a gamble, you can win or lose a lot.

7950 cards are great to mine Monero so switch to Cryptonight alogrithm and put those cards to good use again if you want to continue with Windows 10.
